My girl will do almost anything I want anyway... Valentine's Day or not. I'd rather skip all the BS expectations that go along with this bogus day.
Why does your wife wait until Hallmark tells her it's OK to get freaky before putting the good love on you though?? My girlfriend and I do little things for each other all year long without expectations, and it's probably the most sexually-satisfying relationship I've ever been in. I used to think that Valentine's Day was something that ALL girls believed in, but I see now that it's just a farce created to get guys to go out and buy flowers and chocolates at double the price. OK, to be fair, I've ALWAYS seen that, but in my previous relationships, if I didn't do anything for V-Day, I would be left high and dry. Now, I'm just fortunate enough to have found somebody that appreciates the other 364 days of our relationship just as much as February 14.
She is not a withholder... we have plenty of fun and it's never been boring. But on a day like Valentines day, when she hears how lame her co-workers' husbands/boyfriends are... then she gets whisked away by me to a dim, well appointed place with candles lit and flowers waiting on the table. We spend a few hours enjoying the finer things like 5-star food and expensive champagne (something we get to do only maybe 2 times a year, tops), lingering on long conversations... after that, we rarely make it home before somthing is happening. I absolutely agree with you about Valentines Day price gouging and showing her my appreciation every day... but since my girl is into 2/14, on that day, I always try to exceed her expectations. I enjoy it much as she does and am always rewarded in more ways than one. My point was, why all the b*tching about V-day... if you have a girl, use it as an excuse to make it an insanely good night. We're on a 6-year amazing Valentine's day streak, and I expect Monday night to be no different.

sigh...why did the Super Bowl have to be the day before the Melo 50pt game win on Monday...both Rockets games were mondays. Pulled an all-nighter on Saturday smoking brisket for Super Bowl, and just couldn't make to Pepsi the next day. And that wasn't Miller Lite. Look at the picture closer. Well, not too close. haha
As if you have to have someone on V-Day HA! This will be the first time in my life where I've had someone on V-Day. It's no problem being alone on V-Day, done it 18 years and been just fine.
ending things with someone right before valentine's day kind of blows. but on the other hand, it's like a blessing in disguise.
