I'm happy with his play. His role on the team will be to give us a spark if we need it. He can hit the three and unlike Luther Head, will take the ball to the basket and finish strong.
got a lot of potential in him and hes young. so nice pickup imo. Still will probably only be a bench player in the NBA but if he can consistently perform then best of luck to him with a longer term deal
Ouuu...slow down, he only had one good night and he's already a NBA All-Star. Good thing Wafer is only 23.
He still needs a lot of work...defensively and offensive IQ. After a few years though, I think he can improve in those areas. His game reminds me a little of a poor man's Vernon Maxwell.
I mean he could become something like Caron Butler, but of course he isn't there yet. He does have the potential to be an all-star though, you has all the necessary factors. Speed, athletism, offensive arsenal. All it comes down to now is his defensive abilities, and of course bball IQ.
It would be nice if Von Wafer develops into a formiddable piece of our bench when T-Mac is out. Just like brooks was our big surprise this year, Von Wafer could make this team that much better if/when t-mac comes back for a second half run.
Von Wafer is pretty good at this point. He brings a spark off the bench and gets by his defender, has a ok shot and plays aggressive. But I don't think Morey would lock him up for more than a year, maybe two. Still a very trad-able and replaceable player. I've seen a lot of players come thru this league as rookies, look good but never really turn that corner. He's a good player, but I think he'll bounce around the league for a little while, before getting bounced out. On a positive note, he seemed to fill Tracy's role pretty well the other night. He was fast and could get by his defender, which is more than Tracy is doing. IMO, keep Wafer and send Head packing.
