let's not go overboard, vick already beat miami once in 03. He's good, he a terrible game tonight but he has had a good season.
You're right; I just got tired of hearing people like Mark May hype him so much. I think he will be an NFL QB someday but I don't think he will be as good as his older brother.
Yeah it's really pathetic. South Florida fans in general for that matter. I mean unless Miami is undefeated or has less than 2 losses, virtually no one (outside of real fans) supports them. To make an even worse situation with the Orange Bowl (people here love it even though it's an awful place to watch a game by today's standards; ie: no giant video screen, almost no luxury boxes), any remaining home night games have been rescheduled for day games because Wilma apparently ruined the lighting system. schedule: LSU, AUBURN, possibly GEORGIA, and BCS. Alabama's got their work cut out for them. They know what they gotta do to get where they need to. Final home game in Tuscaloosa. No one thinks they have a chance. Just wait.
I think 'Bama and Texas or USC would make for a fun national championship. I would rather see the Bama/USC matchup though.
That would be an absolute massacre. The only teams who can play with USC are those who can sustain long drives with a balanced offensive attack. Running, throwing short passes, controlling the clock and field position. Notre Dame was very close utilizing that strategy. Alabma would get mauled like Arkansas.
Bama's good, but I would put money on LSU's beating them whenever they play. I think that USC, Texas, V. Tech, Miami, and LSU would all beat Alabama, so I don't see how any matchup with Alabama makes for a more intriguing national championship game. Regardless of who the top two teams actually are, I think that a UT/USC matchup is clearly the most intriguing...Texas vs. California, Texas's bid for two straight rose bowls, USC's bid for three straight championships, Texas's first chance at a national championship in forever, two extremely storied programs, chance to prove Heisman worth(Think Hakeem vs. David Robinson in the '95 playoffs), etc...I could go on and on.
Agreed. The debate and discussion around the two schools' most upstanding alumni would be fierce: for USC: double murderer Orenthal James Simpson!!! for UT-Austin: pot smoking hippie and deadbeat dad Ricky Williams!!!
Emmm...Sure. I wouldn't normally take a sig bet about something I don't really have strong feelings about, but why not? Let's make it simple...Bama wins, you win and LSU wins, I win.
I want to know which UT football player stole bigtexx's lunch money as a child... ...and congratulate him .
You know that Alamaba is going to lose a game now, and the BCS will claim that their "system" works when the only two undefeated teams in the country play for the national championship...
I don't give a flying f**k about the BCS. If UT wins, the BCS is great and if UT loses, the BCS is a piece of sh*t.
