VSpan also turned the ball over 50% of the time he had the ball, so I can't blame JVG for not allowing him free rein as a "playmaker." Bad shooter+Turnover Machine+Bad Attitude=Out of the NBA
Gabage -Waste is an unwanted or undesired material or substance. It is also referred to as rubbish, trash, garbage, or junk depending upon the type of material and the regional terminology. V_Span - Wikipedia, 2009
Cracks me up how many people still blame JVG for vspan's failure. If he were so serious about becoming an NBA property he would have tried to catch on with another team, instead he went running back home.
if i'm not mistaken he posted in another thread yesterday that he was taking a trip somewhere . . . when he emerges, he will return to the Precioussssss, yes we will. It needses us yes it does. Narsty posters thinks they can do our works for us....no the Preciousss needs us.
This has nothing to do with Spanoulis. I was thinking about that roster and remembered Kirk Snyder, then I found this vid of Kirk dunking on Von. Link here
I have been following this thread, of course, and this is the funniest thing I have read on here in a long time... Well done Sam. As for VSpan, he chose to go home, he might have developed into a real player, he certainly clashed with his coach, but at the end of the day VSpan took his ball and went home. Not much more you can say about that, if he was truly interested in being an NBA player, he would have stayed. I still have the same beliefs, that he had the talent, but part of talent is mental toughness, and there are serious questions about that regarding Vspan. My precioussssssssssssss Awesome ! DD
My whole thing is if this guy was soooooo nice like people on here claim he is to be then why hasn't any other team picked him up?? The Spurs didn't even use him as a back up point guard. Come on this guy was an over rated bum.
Well, he really didn't shoot very well, so I guess that means he didn't do anything well, really. Year: 2006-07 Team: HOU MPG: 8.7 FG%: .319 3P%: .172 PPG: 2.7 RPG: 0.7 APG: 0.9 TO: 0.9 A/TO: 1.0
If he stayed there in Greece after next season, then perhaps T-Mac should join him there for the purpose of playing a lighter schedule. I'm always going to believe that V-Span would be playing in the NBA today if he joined the Rockets a season earlier than he did because of all the injuries that plagued the team that particular season (2005-06). JVG would have played him more because he would have been forced to like what he would have had to do with a bunch of other players that he wasn't really planning to play all that much at the start of that season.
