The situation with CBA is different--as long as they get the permission to take part in the draft by their team they can also play abroad, the Chinese association had a certain age limit for players to play abroad. In Europe it's different if you have a contact there you can't play in the nba--of course you can try to break it but usually euro teams ask money for that sometimes really good money as in the case of Luis Scola in the acb.

I wouldn't agree to that, Spanoulis can drive very well and swiftly, he is a good finisher, he can create and plays the passing or transition game pretty well. In the us he has only play about 180 minutes (right?) so no conclusions can be made. Like another poster has said before he may not be better than TP or Manu, but he sure is a better player than Udrih or Calderon who are establishing themselves in the nba right now. It's just a matter of luck and how well you fit in the team you play. For example Boris Diaw was considered a scrub by the Hawks and got traded to the Suns... In Phoenix he plays solid and good ball... Another example late Drazen (the one) Petrovic had very hard time in Portland especially with the starting point guard back then until he got traded to New Jersey where he was scorin like 21 ppg the last year befor the car accident that killed him...

If he gets 15-20mins of playing time on average for 2 year and 20+ minutes on third year,I believe he will be a occasional all-star player. I don't know if he will be on the same level as Tony Parker but he will be similar to him!
and those who do believe he will be close to Nash or he'll be the next Nash, with all do respect I don't think he'll be anywhere close to Nash in his future career in NBA. If he still stays in Houston next season (after what he said in his interview), I think he will get fair amount of time to play even with JVG as a coach.
