I think he's thinking too much...It's about skill, but it's also mental...He's putting too much pressure to perform instead of letting the game come to him... I don't think its over, but its pretty damn close...
I don't think so....I think it will blow over.....and he will learn his lesson from JVG. V-Span made his bed by b****ing to the press....he deserves the criticism.....but the coach should know better than to criticize in the press, that is just as whiny as V-Span's comments to the Greek press. 2 wrongs do not make a right. V-Span will be fine....especially if he stays here this summer and works on this game.... DD
I hope one of those dishes you are referring to wasn't the bounce pass to Chuck Hayes. That ball was behind him, and poorly placed. Chuck was lucky he even caught it and got a shot off. The pass wasn't good. V-Span needs to improve his game, because what he has now, just isn't ready for any additional minutes.
The guy is coming out of the cave for a long while and you just blast him just like you see him on the court playing all the time!
I understand the arguement that V-Span will get/look better playing with better players, but I think that it also overlooks the fact that that means he will be playing AGAINST better players. If he isn't able to put up decent numbers/ratios against other scrubs/bad players, then I'm not sure that the playing with better players aspect will offer more improvement over the playing against better defenders hit... I think that made sense.. I hope.
Because he makes a fancy pass every once in a while and everyone assumes that he should be a PG. If you can't take care of the ball then you are not a PG. It took us 5 years to realize that about Francis.
Man, if he doesn't back up his words with better play on the floor, he's gonna be gone by the end of this season. It was an awful few minutes when he was out there

He had two TOs in 5mins but in my opinion he really had one, the other one should be a nice assist but Hayes failed to pick it up. He should have had one more assist for the pass to Lucas who failed a open 3 as well. You are trying to be blind if you can only nippick his TOs. If he can get comfortable on the floor with starters, he can assist more. Poor kid. I agree he shouldve focused on his defense first, if he wants to impress JVG.
JL3 sucks. If a Hollywood movie were to be made from a cast of the Rockets players and coaches, JL3 would unquestionably be a bad guy. A midget hitman serving his balding boss, that is.
Why are people making excuses for him? We have seen him play in preseason, in limited minutes during the season, and last night. Except for 1 1/2 - 2 preseason games he has played poorly. He has been consistantly poor. We have all seen it, so why do some people still say he deserves more minutes?
Its safe to say that you will bash any Rockets player to prove your point. Last time I checked, Lucas helped us win a game in San Antonio for the first time in quite a while. Where is your loyalty?
Sammy, I am loyal to the Rockets team....period..... And, like JVG, I call em like I see em... 1-7 shooting...3 fouls in 1 minute....JL3 had a HORRIBLE game.... He was playing with Novak, who is starting to shoot the ball well, and JL3 ignored a WIDE OPEN Novak numerous times. I like JL3 as an Earl Boykins style of game changer, but not as the primary backup PG...he just doesn't pass. DD
why do you continue to ignore his shooting. point guard's need to shoot too when left open. and in this system with a low block center and a point forward the guards will get a ton of shots. they MUST be able to knock these down at a reasonable clip. and since when is asking someone to grow there game an insult. vpsan is lucky someone has told him where he lacks, now he has a step on getting better. instead of figuring for himself.
DADA Kudos for your arguments for including VSPAn and giving him minutes in a game which was a blow out. No one really seem to point to the 6 tunovers by Rafer! In the interest of this team we need VSPAN to get time- not the starter's role- but meaningful time, with the starters. If he flubs it then so be it. But if you guys think that our PG position is strong- you are smoking something that is not legal! We need Vspan and Bonzi. I am not sure if JL3 is even a PG- why the hell was he playing PG in whatever minutes he got. No one is suggesting VSPAN is an All Star- but he definitely deserves a shot. Perhaps you are the same bunch who were with JVG when he was infatuated with Rybo!
