Killbill will be pretty efficient at pg once he gets consistent PT.

BTW does anyone have a video link to last game's 4th quarter?

snyder injury is a GREAT blessing in disguise.

    1. billy will get PT - he will provide a lot of energy, and keep guards from penetrating.

    2. bonzi may be back sooner - JVG being forced to play bonzi is good. bonzi will get himself in game shape fastetr by playing! with bonzi in the rotation this team will get to the next level.

everything we need is about to be addressed. perimeter defense, energy, and scoring. all of our weak spots so far this season.

I agree as long as we do not sustain any more injuries, in addition to that Snyder will still have time to get back and by mid march JVG will know what he has so that we can go to war come playoff time with our best 9 guys!

I don't know what game some of you were watching. KillBill definately was the spark that ignited the 9-1 run that led to the Rockets victory. He penetrated, defended and made quick, decisive passes on the perimeter.

His penetration led to 3 baskets. He almost got 2 steals, and he took a charge. All in 13 minutes of play. If Battier is a glue guy, then Vspan was super glue tonight. It did not show up in the box score, but he was the difference.

I can not wait to see V-Span, Battier and Hayes on the floor with Yao and Tmac...that is ONE smart basketball team, and the passes should be flowing around with cuts and picks....ooooh...my nipples are getting hard just thinking about it.

    Agree.

His energy Trickles down to the entire lineup on the floor.

When you get a charge on Marbury with 5 minutes left, scramble for loose balls, challenge guys on breakaways, penetrate hard to the hole.

This type of play, hustle and energy has an effect on EVERYONE on your team and it lifts everyone's play.

OMR - I hear VSpan is looking for someone to wash his jockstrap, why don't you apply. You can take a whiff before you stick it in the washing machine.

Don't know but if it was, had to be Chris Farley that was in it.

I want the guy to play too, but how do you put Luther Head on the bench when he is shooting 50 percent from the three point line and hitting some incredibly clutch shots???

He isn't going to play big minutes at the two and neither he nor V-Span are ready to start. I hope Span continues to get minutes, but Head is quietly having a VERY strong sophomore campaign.

3= the number of times Luther has commited a foul in the last two minutes of a close game on a three point shooter, once resulting in a four point play the others resulting in three free throws. He also has twice in close forth quarter situations gone for steals on cross court passes and failed resulting in two wide open three's that were made.

He continues to make poor decisions with the basketball late in games whether it's a bad shot or an ill advised pass.

Luther has some game and I am impressed with his shot but I think his basketball iq is low and I don't trust him in crunch time.

On offense, but on defense Head has been horrendous.....which is why when Head and Alston are on the floor the other team's guards penetrate at will.

I would like to see V-Span and Head on the court together, I think Head could knock down shots set up by Billy.

Billy will set the table, all the rest of the Rockets have to do is eat !

I think he has a decent IQ, but he is not supposed to be our main PG, thats Alstons or VSpans job...He should be running around making screens, cutting under the basket and shooting those threes like he has been thus far.....

This is my biggest beef with JVG, he says he wants 3 PGs on this team and then he only plays one in the first 10 games.....that is stupid.

I was going to reply and you beat me to it Texanskan! :)

One more thing I like to add when Spanoulis is in the game instead of Head, Head may have the shooting advantage right now, but when the opponents are making a hard push, Head will panic along with Rafer, they will surrender the ball over to the other guards when being pressed.

Spanoulis will slow down the other guards, he will D up and won't panic, he has more energy than Head and Rafer combined and the thing I like most about VSpan is he's so tough mentally(physically too) and a lot smarter than Head and Rafer.

If Spanoulis' defense is so great out of the box, why did he commit 3 fouls in about 9 minutes in the 4th period?

I'm all for benching Rafer but you guys are blowing his performance up a bit.

. . . and after he smelled the strap he would fall over and break the trainer's table. Then he would get up smacking his head saying "Stupid" "Stupid" "Stupid" !!!!!
