V-Span about to get deported?

van gundy might be making the most of jliii's skills and using him as all-out instant offense off the bench since he doesn't play on both ends of the court.

Yeah that's the Key - I don't think there's anyone better on the team (except maybe Battier) at making a crisp entry pass to Yao than Vspan.

He needs an awesome shooting coach this offseason to improve his FG% and Range.

The reason he is not playing is that he hasn't shown much ability to hit the spot up 3 when he's open. That kills everything JVG is trying to accomplish with his offensive philosophy and Spacing.

 

True, Spanoulis won't back down easily but he didn't expect to become the ball boy either... I believe that he's lost his confidence because he hesitates/thinks before shooting or making a decision and that's definitely not him... He needs to work hard (he's known for that), stay focused and good things will happen for him...

 

Spanoulis gave an interview to a grek newspaper and here is the translation:

-No!, It is a difficult time for me now, that's true,it is the first time in my career that something like this happens.However, I have to remain strong and fight. -No! This is not my character to run to the coach and ask him why I do not play. I have never done it before and it is not going to happen now. I work professionally to improve and to present myself better day by day...

Seems to me as if Vspan will fight until the end...

Hmmmm, so there hasn't been communiction between him and JVG regarding what he needs to do. Wonder if he is working on the behind-the-back look-away wrap-around pass from half court?

 

He probably needs to practice those bounce passes to Mutombo as well!

 

It could not hurt that he talks to JVG and asks him specifically what he would like him to improve upon.

I don't think he needs to talk to him to find out... its pretty obvious. Limit the turnovers, work on hitting open shots (and shooting in general), and work on playing solid/aggressive defense without fouling.

He's got a lot to improve on... but if he has the right attitude, he will be an integral part of this team's future.

 

Oh yeah, I'm sure that's it. Deke is probably wanting to work on his hands a little bit so he's having VSpan throw him blind bounce passes when he is in the paint against 3 defenders.

 

good i hope v span gets deported and never comes back. he sucked whenever he did play.

 

He did OK for a few games and then tanked. Hopefully he will come back next season much-improved.

 

He has already been limiting the turnovers, so that is one problem licked.
