Damn that's a good deal. I'm with pos Suddenlink. I'm paying around $120 a month for Internet and HD dvr Cable, expanded.
I called and unfortunately, it's not in my area. Oh well, thanks for the heads up anyways, Icehouse! If you guys call, make sure to ask to speak to a UVerse representative.
I think you all might note that I was the first to start recommending u-Verse. If you all still want to send referrals and split some cash, message me through the board. I can split some cash as long as we both get some. I think that we "first-timers" don't get those new deals. We've had this since October of last year. We've seen it go through changes.
I have a bunch of new 'you are not subscribed to this channel' channels stuck in between my normal HD channels, anyone know what these are, new HD channels on the way? Thanks for the heads up on connected community tip
I have 3 boxes, but only one has the ability to actually record the shows. This means I have to set it up to record on that TV. I can record 4 shows at the same time. However, I can watch the recorded shows on any TV. But only the main one allows me to set up recording, and use other DVR features like pausing live shows, etc.
I'm guessing that the "connected community" means that U-Verse is the only service offering in your neighborhood, and thus, is offered at a discount. I know that in many of the new neighborhoods popping up around Austin, the developers are signing exclusivity contracts with service providers (including electric, water, and cable), so perhaps AT&T has such a contract with your developer/H.O.A.?
No. You can only use the DVR on one TV, to record shows or pause live TV, etc. But if something is already recorded, you can watch it on any TV in the house. However, you have to set it to record from that 1 TV...or online. You can record up to 4 shows at once. None of the other boxes have DVR features.
I don't think that's it. I had Comcast before I switched over. I'm right by UH and TSU, so pretty much every type of service is available here.
I had U200 and HBO I wanted to switch to Showtime The lady told me for $1 more per month than what I'm paying for U200 and HBO, I could get U400.
I gotcha. So it seems like you were already paying extra for HBO. They told me the $20 diff from U300 and U400 was the inclusion of Showtime and Cinemax.
I'm leaning more and more into getting serious about U-Verse, but this 'different people get different prices' junk is a little annoying.
Im with you.... so have we figured out exactly what decides if you get the "connected community" special? you cant beat that
The rep I spoke to told me that a connected community is where the complex already supplies you with a basic TV package and that anything else on top of that is extra. Might explain why the rates are so cheap since the complex is footing the bill for the 1st portion of it? That doesn't sound right at all though. He told me to verify with my onsite manager tomorrow. They did offer me this though. Is this a good deal? U300 with Showtime and Starz HD Package + DVR Elite Internet 6mbps Installation waived 95 a month??
damn, i'm about to pay $115 for U200, HD, 3 receivers and elite internet. but i should be getting the $200 rebate. you getting a rebate?
