Did the kids who called 911 eventually get saved or were they also killed while these guys sat in the hallway? The timeline is just shocking. Can’t believe those guys sat it out. @Reeko is right, should have just given the guns to the parents.
Just get out of the parents way. Armed cops kept them from entering when they wanted to go save lives. One middle aged dad could have ended that loser to save his child. Fact.
You are a dad. Tell me your thoughts. Leave your kid in there to fend for themselves or would you have taken bullets to save them. I already know the answer.
I would be in there, no doubt......and live or die with the results. Honestly, I am anti-gun, but this crap makes me want to get one.......just in case. DD
I didn't have the highest expectations reading that report on the timeline but... it's horrifying beyond belief.
seems pretty accurate to me what isn’t helpful is the pathetic excuses that have been made for the cops and useless Republicans talking about “it’s the doors” as they head to the NRA convention
THis is why I didn't want to start laying blame and jumping to conclusions until knew much more. This is such a horrible situation already and emotions are so high want to make sure to understand what happened before blaming LEO and other first responders. You're absoluty right though the more infor that came out the worst it sounds. Especially heartbreaking the reports that 911 were receiving calls from children while LEO were just outside the door. This just adds so much more pain onto the families. As much as we talk about PD's like Minneapolis needing major reorganization Uvalde PD will need to be seriously reformed.

The facts were they took an hr and prevented parents from rushing a sole gunman. It was fishy from the start
LOL, those 2 Paul Blarts are cops? They’re letting anyone become law enforcement these days. There’s no standard of fitness that needs to be passed periodically while on the job if you’re gonna be out in the field?
I don't actually blame the LEO;s for not letting parents rush in. As stated before I've seen first hand first responders keep people from rushing into a house fire. In situations like that civilians will end up becoming more of a liability. If the Uvalde PD had allowed the parents to rush in many more might be dead from both more civilians getting shot by the shooter, civilians getting shot in the crossfire by LEO, or armed civilians shooting each other the confusion and crossfire. What is completely damning though is when you have the LEO on scene, getting reports that there are still children alive and the shooter is still shooting. The 911 calls to me is the most daming evidence and I hadn't heard about those until Midday today.
It looks like the Uvalde ISD police chief is going to be the fall guy for this cluster. And maybe he deserves it if he was the one restraining all the other Cops from charging in. But, let’s look at a couple of things. The Uvalde ISD police dept has a total of six officers, including the chief. Was this the guy that should have been making the big decisions? There were officers from multiple agencies at the school during this time, but the guy making the decisions is the guy that supervises five other people and probably does very little hard police work? The DPS spokesperson today said ALL officers in Texas are trained to go in and engage and kill a shooter in a situation like this. Couldn’t one of these other officers spoken up and said we are going in. I guess there are rules about who is in charge at the scene, and maybe because this is school property, then the ISD police chief is in charge. But, I’m thinking someone should have said screw it, we are going in.
