In all seriousness, all your points are valid, but don't you think he should have.... I don't know... cared? moved? something?
That's a selfish way to react then. There's no guarantee that the shooter couldnt come back down and hurt them the second time around, so the fact that he passed them shouldn't be enough to sit still....at the very least they should have picked up the phone ASAP and called PD....just because it may have been fake doesnt mean it wasnt a problem. A prank like that could still cause panic that can result in injuries. You just don't sit there and watch him walk by. As employees, they're responsible for watching over the library and reporting anything unusual. I dont expect them to tackle the guy, but to not even get off your chair? Zero reaction? People nowadays are too afraid to react because they think they'll look foolish if it's fake...they need to get over it and react, they'll feel much worse later if something bad happens and they didn't try to help.
Why have an AK if your gonna just kill yourself?.... ...I think he was going to kill some people....but backed out.
That's exactly what I thought. I think he meant to do damage, but got scared to take anyone's life. He already ran down the street, shooting, so he knew he was in huge trouble, so he must have taken his own life without doing any damage. My classmate was in a study group with him, and told me that he was a genuinely nice guy, but very soft spoken. It's sad.
I was on the beach at a resort in Mexico when several guy in camo with AK47s went jogging past. My girlfriend and I looked at each other like what the f was that. We just figured it was a military exercise and went back to drinks. There is not much else you can do in that situation, you can't outrun a bullet.
The only thing unarmed security guards do is call for real security to show up. Basically, they are nothing more than watchdogs who bark when trouble shows up. 99% of them aren't trained in any way whatsoever and they will be fired if they try to take things into their own hands.
I like how UTPD released a statement that he didn't want to harm anyone. Really? How the f does UTPD know? Because he only killed himself? That doesn't mean s. I don't know what the guy was doing, but I'm not going to assume his plan was suicide. He walked into a public place firing a weapon. Thank God no one was harmed. I'm not going to give this guy a medal.
