Sumlin typically will not discuss injuries. I doubt there will be any "official word" on Case, but at the game it looked pretty much exactly like a concussion. Don't think he lost consciousness, but he was on his hands and knees for a minute or two, clearly stunned. He stood up and walked to the sideline just fine, but it looked like he wasn't terribly sure what the hell just happened. Watching the replay on TV, he looked as though he wasn't too bad off on the sideline, and the trainers were leaving him alone. Guess we'll just have to see how severe it was. Can't imagine Case taking a game off if he can walk straight.
Hope so, but the Turner kid looks very capable. The offense is a well oiled machine, doesn't appear to have any weaknesses. The defense seems like a work in progress, some improvement noted, but a ways to go. As to Case's injury, I call it the Troy Aikman look.

People scoffed when I claimed that Jason Phillips could bust out some run and shoot stuff this year, but Keenum took a lot of snaps from under center last night. Utep played to take away the rid-range game, which worked well for UCF last year. All of a sudden, Keenum is throwing bombs, opening up the run game.
That's week 2 if I recall. They should appear in it on Monday, depending on what shakes out this afternoon.
Great game, was able to see it...I was the only Coogs fan at Twin Peaks in Addison, but that's ok...looks like Case is day to day...if he's not good to go, then Cotton will have to step in... Did anyone notice that ESPN dropped the Saturday night game against UCLA? Apparently it is only televised on FSN. Was it because of UCLA sucking so bad or Keenum's injury?
Well crap. Just noticed it isn't listed on the schedule for ESPN.com either. http://espn.go.com/college-football/schedule?week=3
It's funny that Boise State now has fewer votes in the AP poll than they did before the season started. It's also why national championship predictions after Week 1 are a little silly.
