Utah. Like everyone has said already, we match up better with them. I'd also like redemption for last year's elimination. There's nothing better than a good rivalry in Playoff basketball and this one's been brewing for decades now.
I think I'm a lil old school cause I want Utah IN Utah. What better battlefield than there. And besides... we have unfinished business there from last year. I want all the odds stacked up against us. That's where you see who is who on your roster. Sadly, it's all on McGrady, and RA's rotation for the playoffs. ...and me personally I'm more worried about Sloan than Williams or Boozer come playoff time. That man has been in every situation and has his team disciplined. Same goes for RA as well... UTAH Damnnit!!
utah is better at executing while the lakers dont rely on set plays to get their points. both are great teams honestly its a toss up because we'll get swept either way.
actually, i want to play the Lakers. we aren't going to beat either, but we already played Utah last year. i just want to see a different team out there.
If the Rockets keep playing like they have since the streak ended, it's not going to matter who we face in the playoffs.
all these teams have so much offensive firepower that it's unbelievable. they have options 1, 2, 3, 4. even with yao, we really only have 2 options. it's really crazy. i hope we can add a few more pieces in the offseason.
I would rather play LA, we can win at the staples center, but we can't win in salt lake. yes I know we won this year but that was like the 2nd game of the year. be smart and hope we play LA.
If I had to pick I'll go with the Jazz, but for some reason I don't fear the Lakers like a lot of people on here do.
Most posters seem to think Utah will be an easy out, much much easier out than LA, but Utah at times can be very tough team....we didn't beat them....most of the games we did win there was Yao sitting there....remember outside of guarding boozer he wasn't completely useless, he manned the paint and scored points. It was the supporting cast that cost us that series.
The last two games against Portland and Seattle the Rockets have just not looked good at all. I have to wonder if they peaked too early and now they're burned out for the playoffs. The offense is seriously messed up. No ball movement, no balance. What's really puzzling is how the team ball that served the Rockets so well in the streak has vanished.
NBA's pets, for me I'd like to see Jazz in the playoffs because I think without Yao we really don't have suitable players in the low post, that's true see what Suns have done to us or the Spurs!
