Anyone who wants to play them in the first round really needs to rethink things. Deron Williams LOVES playing against us. Its unfortunate for us that the player with the best combination of balls and talent happens to be on their side of the rivalry.

I want to see the Rockets beat the Jazz as badly as anyone else here, but I really don't think the 1st round is the time to do it. They don't like us very much either, you know.

More on topic, I do think they're gonna be back, strong. They're a solid team, but I still don't see them having a better chance of coming out of the Western Conference than any of the other 3-8 teams.

rejuvenated? their average age is like 26.

williams is going to have fun chasing brooks all over the court on defense.

2 games. Blowout win over OKC. Blowout loss to Boston. You can't make any assumptions based on the outcome of either of those games.

As for Utah, I think it'll be very difficult to pass both Portland and Denver to win their division. They're all pretty good at home but Utah by far has the worst road record of any team that's in the playoff hunt in the West .

Well of course the Jazz are going to win the division, but lets be honest the Northwest Division has seen its better days. I mean Denver and Portland are playing well right now, but I dont expect that to last. Utah will come out on top but when they get to the playoffs they will not have enough weapons to advance. I hope the play the Rockets again so we can destroy them.

Rockets will LOSE if we face the Jazz.

    1. Boozer makes Yao look like his b***, he can't guard Okur because of his range.
    2. Deron Williams is 5x stronger than Brooks, and probably just as quick. Not to mention he'll be the best player in the series and a veteran.
    3. Rox have enough problems with the pick and roll, Jazz will score 90% of the time they run it with Deron and Boozer.
    4. AK47 will flop his way through the series, but he will also block a ton of shots and is a good defensive player.
    5. Boozer will out rebound the entire rockets front court.
    6. Milsap is better than Landry
    7. Their home court is great.

The ONLY chance the Rockets have is if Artest is a beast for the entire series and punishes the Jazz guards, but come on he is no Kobe...

This is the first time 3 teams in that division will finish above .500 since 2004-05 when Seattle was first and Utah was last. It could be the only time they've gotten 3 teams into the playoffs since they went from 2 divisions to 3. Yeah, Minnesota and OKC suck. But at the top, it's never been tougher.

Actually I like Scola guarding Boozer and Yao on Okur. Deron would eat Brooks alive but Yao would eat Okur alive as well. My biggest concern would be Ron's mental stability against the Jazz. Harpring really gets in Ron's head. Ron doesn't play well against the Jazz because of the length of Kirilenko and the toughness of Harpring.

Do I think we can beat Utah in a playoff series? Yes, but I'd rather not find out. There's several other teams I'd rather see us play than Utah.

I promise you, the Jazz want to see the Rockets in the first round. Wouldn't you? The Rockets do not match up well with them. The Rockets advance to the second round against Mavs, Suns, Nuggets, N.O. or Portland. I think they have a better chance in the second round against S.A. and the Lakers than the Jazz. No more Jazz!

If the Rockets are going to take the next step, they have to beat the Jazz. We can not avoid them.
