you know... after lookin at this remaining schedule for us and utah... Home court advantage is not out of our reach at all...

Utah has 6 hard games left(Sac, Golden State, Denver, PHO, and of course us)... and besides utah is not playin worth a darn... Ex. they lost to POR

We only have 3 hard games remaining(Sac, PHO, and Utah) i am not including NOK because injuries have hit them once agian Chris Paul, Tyson Chandler, Mason

Sooo HomeCourt Advantage is actually closer in reach

You forgot about their game against Dallas - but I'm not sure any of Dallas will be playing that game 100%, but I'm not sure Phoenix will either. I'm not ready to consider Sac a "hard" game for Utah.

Home court is in reach, but the reality is we let it slip out of our grasp. I still like our chances in the first round regardless though.

I agree with Htowntmac1... Utah lost their one real gimme of the final stretch.... GS Denver Dallas and Phoenix can all win...I don't think they will rest starters...Mavs going for momentum and franchise records...Suns still in a tight race with Spurs for the 2nd spot...which will provide homecourt for that 2nd round matchup. As long as they lose two or three we are in good shape...hopefully the Kings will blindside them tonight as we show the NBA how to treat an NBDL squad w/o it's best player.... and yeah NOK doesn't even have it's starting line up any more..not really scared there... If we do what the Spurs did tonight... maybe we beat the Suns and take the momentum and ride into Salt lake...take home court...come back to Houston for the start of our championship run.

Ok we lost w/o our 2 main starters...no excuse but...I believe this injury is like the same one where Tmac felt a bit stiff and sat out the Suns game... so he should be back...we have to step up and beat Sac..which we can do...Yao should be back...Bonzi is at least there... and Utah plays tommorow against a Sea that kept it tight with the Lakers... plus Williams and AK47 got hurt today...playing w/o Williams (strained groin) in the second half is probably the main culprit to their losing a 17 point lead to Sac...they might just lose tommorow...we beat Sac on sunday and monday will be interesting...we play Sea (which we should win) and they play a hot Goldenstate team...Our win coupled w/ their loss is huge as far as playoffs go...GS I believe can sort of give Dallas a run for thier money...Clippers can't... and we would have home court...add to this the fact that our next opps consist of Portland and New Orleans (both w/o magor players and hopefully we will have ours) and they play Denver (who beat Dallas) and Dallas (playing for the franchise record)... that would extrapolate things to a 2 and a half game lead over Utah...assuming we both lose to Phoenix this is a big deal...bottom line...if things pan out like this...which is highly realistic and probable... they can beat the Blazers and beat us and we still start the playoffs in Houston...at first I thought that this would be a long shot...but comparing the last two weeks coupled with improbable losses for them each time we have a let down...well...regardless...get out your red gear...this is getting real fun!

No longer. They lost to Nuggets 71-75 tonight. Josh hurt. So they will change gear, I believe. "Cruise Control" time.

Big picture that could also be a blessing in disguise...sprained ankle...how long will that take one might ask...regardless, Mavs don't go into the playoffs a 70 win monster with the confidence and swagger and momentum they would have had...Cruise control equals a couple of losses going into what I hope will be a steamrolling Goldenstate...and Don Nelson who might not be a defensive guru..does know mister Dirk's tendencies and strenghts and weaknesses pretty well....and they match semi-well...this is all good news... Yao and Tmac need to get healthy and hungry and come back and jump on some of this...one more rest day and we shall see...
