You should go back alittle bit more, we are the reason they never made it to the finals, until Barkley showed up....... Kind of like a Bully, just quit school
http://www.latimes.com/video/?slug=la-derek-fisher-utah14-2009apr14-vid D.Fish says they will play just like any other game
i can't see the fakers wanting to endure a series with the jazz.....having to put up with the constant fouling/flopping sloan has programmed into his players' dna.....especially when they can just opt for the softie mavs/hornets instead...
I'm hoping Utah loses, not to avoid playing them in the first round, but in hopes that it will make the Mavs relax Wednesday, knowing they won't have to worry about playing LA. I see the Rockets having a tough time winning in Dallas against a motivated Mavs team. I'm not sure why so many people are assuming a win there. I can't imagine the reaction on this board if the Rockets lose that game and drop to 5th, a scenario that has a good chance of happening.
Perhaps you are right but I can't see them tanking the game either. I'm sure that Sloan will have his guys ready tonight.
I don't see Dallas relaxing against us irrespective of whether Utah loses or wins. Beating the Mavs will be a tough job for us like you said.
"And don't forget our rule number 1 of preparedness you little fairy douches.....the opponent is like fire. If you make contact with one them, just stop drop & roll..."
Don't think that would happen, there is a good chance that Laker will play Utah in first round regardless today's result, so why show weakness now. And Laker match up pretty well with Utah.
Jazz are on a back-to-back. Jazz are on the road. Lakers have pride. Lakers have a large market that wants to see Kobe. Game is on TNT. I can't see the Lakers tanking it, nor can I see the Jazz legitimately win. I hope I'm not mistaken.
I'm going to have a good time tonight living for 3 hours as a Lakers fan. Oh no, and with nothing to wear!
How long will it take for any of the Utah players to play dirty and cause the Lakers to pound the Jazzholes?
The Lakers can probably put up with the flopping but tough physical play can bother them. The Jazz might be able to take this game but in order to win a series against the Lakers they will have to execute consistently which will be harder to do on the road.
Don't know if it's been mentioned, but Okur is a gametime decision tonight . . http://www.deseretnews.com/article/705297352/Utah-Jazz-Best-wont-rest-neither-will-Lakers.html
This game is going to be the start of an incredibly fun-filled, pressure-packed 24 hour span. I'm of the mindset that it doesn't really matter who the Rockets play as long as we win in Dallas tomorrow night and finish in 2nd or 3rd in the Conference. However, I would LOVE to see a Jazz loss here, simply to break their spirits even more. A first round match-up of Utah and LAL would be a complete win-win for the Rockets because either we get to watch the Jazz get booted in the first round, or we get to see a massive upset that will help us down the road. Either way, GO LAKERS (but only for tonight)!!!!
