That about does it, going to be hard to pry a 8 point lead away from the Spurs. I'm sure the Cats will make a good run but some annoying Spurs player will hit some amazing 3 point shot to end any doubt to them losing this game.
Who are you guys pulling for between Dal and Phx? I'm pulling for Dal. I want as much space as possible between us and the 9th spot. I know we have a big lead over Phx with the tiebreaker but we have the toughest SOS for the rest of the season. I don't want to take any chances.
Phoenix is dead to Rockets fans. As of today, the Rockets have 6 fewer losses and have clinched the head-to-head season series. No way the Suns make up 7 games with only 17 left in the season. Therefore, I want the Mavs, who only have 2 more losses than the Rockets, to lose. With the Suns cooked, the real battle at the bottom of the Western Conference is to avoid the 8th seed (and the Lakers in the 1st round). Dallas and Denver seem to be the most likely candidates but 6 teams are battling for seeds 3-8.
Shiiiiiit happens, and I won't worry about seedings until we officially clinch a playoff berth. Screw the Suns.
I just saw a commerical on the LA broadcast of the Cavs-Clips game. With some intimidating music playing in the background, I heard something to the effect of "Baron Davis, hometown hero, and the Clippers are making some noise and playing loud in the NBA..." I felt bad for Clippers fans. It almost sounded like a joke. I think their slogan is "Play Loud." I'm not really feeling that either.
I'm feeling their collapse against the Cavs. I think we all knew it was coming. If the Cavs weren't 1/18 on 3-pointers, this game would be over.
obvious tank job by the clippers... The players are playing hard, but dunleavy isnt doing any adjustments. Infact he's hindering his team with weak subsitutions.
What a hilarious shot by Z-Bo! Oh man, what was going on in his mind? A 33-10 game-closing run. The Cavs should kick themselves it came down to this. You can't blame all of it on a bad game shooting 3s, but how often does a good team start 0/18 from long range? I would expect they won't be quite so sloppy against the Suns on Thursday. That will be the day we can go ahead and kick dirt on Phoenix.
This write-up by Bill Simmons on the Cavs/Clips game is worth reading. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/090311&sportCat=nba
Boy Nowitzki is clutch, but he made me laugh by how he celebrated.. He's a 7 Footer, he cant be jumping like that..
