I seem to recall a stadium full of Aggies who showed a poor sense of humor when the Rice Mob marched in the formation of revelie pissing on a fire hydrant. The Mob had to be ferried from the stadium in ambulances to avoid the enraged Aggie mob.

Seems like if it's ok to get that upset about a dog, the University can protect it legal trademark rights. And FWIW, every University has to do the same. If you don't actively protect it, I believe that your rights diminish.

Oh, and "BAAAA means No!" ... LOL :D

Yeah, who gives a rats ass about shirtgate. Come on, no need for Aggie hate here. I would never say tu sucks. They are both wonderful Texas schools but I've always been glad that I attended A&M even though I grew up in Austin. I had a great time there and the best part, so many Houston Rockets fans were in College Station cheering the Rockets during the championship years, it was simply an incredible experience!

Saw Em Off and Gig Em!!!!!

Y'know, not everything is a conspiracy. It is entirely possible that some hotshot douchebag UT lawyer attended the game this year (which was in Austin, BTW) and saw an Aggie wearing the shirt, thus prompting an investigation and eventual lawsuit the next day. Who knows?

This part is really funny. I wish I was there to see that. The sheep jokes are as lame as the UT gay jokes though.

Kind of ironic don't you think? Especially since A&M named him. 13-0 :D

Urban legend. Bevo was used in print the year before the 13-0 brand.

Too bad, I always liked that story.

So you thought the suing of the Seahawks last year was a problem of too many Aggie lawyers?

Tru dat. BEVO was named in 1916. A&M did the branding in 1917.

I didn't have a problem with it. Good Aggies aren't supposed to be selfish. The Seahawks 12th Man thingy was all in good fun, good natured, and supportive, and it's all the way up there in Seattle. The Aggies in charge definitely had sticks up their butts on that one. And the Longhorns in charge have sticks up their butts now...but Aggieland Outfitters sucks anyways. The title of this thread is totally misleading though.

No kidding. I completely overlooked that part! ROFL. ::D man...

This is whats so crazy about America. Everyone suing everyone else for the most moronic reasons ever.

I mean, for the # of years it's been used, and SUDDENLY now they want it changed! ....lmao

As for the Seattle ordeal...yeah, I thought that was stupid too.

It's not moronic, it's about money. University logos have to be protected to protect a lucrative revenue stream. UT has protected their trademarks here in Austin before... it's not just a action they take after an A&M loss. And they can't pick and choose when to protect the trademarks, once they are aware of a possible infringement, they have to take action.
