[UT Students] Whataburger coming to a campus near you!

Personally, for some reason when it comes to fast food I like Carl's Jr.

 

That whataburger across from campus on 1604 is always busy after 2 am... Always... Drive thru usually has two different lines and no parking is available not to mention you really can't eat inside because there aren't any tables.

 

This is pure insanity. I spent over six years at UT, from 98-02 and 06-08, and I would have killed for a Whataburger near campus.

For those of yall in school now, consider this a Godsend. The only thing missing from the campus area was a Whataburger. Now that dream has come true. Maybe I should quit my job and go back to school for a degree in public policy or something.

 

Completely OT, but does anyone remember the overly enthusiastic guy with the lightning-quick flailing arms who worked the register at Wendy's in the Texas Union?

Junior is the best! Easily a highlight of the UT experience.

 

If my memory serves me correctly, I remember there was one right next to the co-op when I was going to school there in the 90's.

 

Damn. When I went there (1993-94) only Chick-Fil-A and Burger King were in the cafeteria. After a year of eating just those 2 things, I couldn't touch them for years after. Still don't eat Burger King...mostly because it's complete crap.

Next you'll tell me they built another dorm besides Chisholm Hall.

 

I think it's no surprise to anyone as to why Americans are among the fattest people on earth (granted most of this forum is American). But dam, do you guys really have THAT MANY fast food joints on campus? Turrble.

They had BK back then? Haha... so I guess they took it out for a while. They just opened it back in September.

Jaime Oliver is coming to Austin...and he intends to convert all those fast food businesses into fresh salad bars. Revolution calling...!!!!

 

Yeah they have built 2 dorms and a cafeteria next to Chisholm. Plans are underway for yet another dorm hall and another garage behind the Main Bldg. Plus another multi-level building between the North Garage and HSS (old HB). Of course the Athletic Complex has yet to break ground, but it will have stadiums for all RR sports, with long term plans for a 50,000 seat football stadium.

 

Meh, if an in-n-out were to open it would be news, Whataburger is AIGHT

 

Yeah 10 years from now UTSA is going to be a great school. They also built on campus apartments which suck, i lived there freshman year. They are also trying to get an on campus bar at chili's too.

 

Love that guy. He is an unparalleled talent.
