Sure, I'm the one who's obsessed. I make comments about OU and UT players in the UT/OU thread. You bring up RICE in this thread? Clearly you have an obsession. Your comment is especially interesting considering "your team" got pasted after OU hung 63 on "your team" last year.

When I was obviously kidding by the addition of my smilie, then yes, it proves that you have no sense of humor.

White's a better passer, I can't argue there. But he isn't better than he was last year, at least the stats don't say so. Vince is working with a young receiving group, so we won't know how good he is as a passer till later in the year. And with the young receiving crew, I'll take VY to quarterback the Longhorns right now. They need his skills more than they need White's. White's playing in his 6th season of College football. I hope he's a better passer. But I'll still take VY, especially if I were coaching a team that needed to be carried at times.

You're not being labelled obsessed for this specific post. You're being labelled obsessed for your constant spewing of UT-hate.

I mean...Who the hell says, "White is an amazing quarterback. Head and shoulders above Vince Young, without question?" Who says this when Vince hasn't even been brought up previously?

First, you're comparing a 24-year old to a sophomore. Do people compare Chris Simms to VY?

Second, this statement was clearly made to rile Longhorn fans up. Why?

I went to last years massacre and it sucked... stayed till after the 3rd quarter. I think UT has just about the same chance to beat UO this year as they did the past four years... which isn't saying much. I hope UT wins but it would be a pretty big shock to me if they did.

I am not going to argue VY is in the class of White, VY has to proove something in big games.

But anyone who really thought Jason White was the best QB, let alone best player, in college footbal last year wasn't a carefull observer. Once he finally got some pressure he showed he was far less than a truly special football player.

Who knows if, OU had Eli, Rivers, or Rothensburger (sp?) they might have won the championship last year, or at least 1 less loss.

They are going to have to have special asterisks for the Gino Torrettas, Jason Whites--inflated stats, system, greater players around them-- type Heisman Trophy winners.

Anyway, looking forward to this game.

Who cares about Vince Young vs. Jason White? Paul Thompson is going to show up both of them next year. You heard it here first.

Its funny, you don't have to throw the ball all over the field when you have a dominant running game. White was great last year as a sitting duck, this year he can move too.

I'm looking forward to seeing Rhett Bomar play. That guy is a machine! During last year's Texas all-star game, him and Adrian Peterson were clearly the best two players out there. I don't know too much about Thompson except for the fact that he went to a HS (Leander) that was in our district back in the day when I played sports. Bomar is the real deal, though.

OU got the two best players in Texas to come to Norman last year. Impressive.

The scary thing is Bomar may be the 4th best QB on campus...

What game are you talking about? The Coaches association game? Did AP even play in that game? If he did, I don't remember it. The top two receivers, however, were definitely Texas players Jordan Shipley and Nathan Jones. I believe Ramonce Taylor was also the top rusher.
