    Horns recent 5* QBs:

    Simms
    VY
    Gilbert
    Ewers
    Manning

One of these players is not like the others

Well there ya go just as I said, run the VY RPO offense - that is about all you can do....with him.

NFL and pro QB's are not correlated at all. Josh Allen was mediocre at Wyoming. Mahomes was 13-19 at Texas Tech. Vince Young and Tim Tebow were mediocre in the NFL.

Ewers is the only QB who made the final four of college football each of the last two years. He was a legitimate Heisman contender and was somewhere between good and great as a college QB. But he never had the arm strength to be an NFL QB.

oh really? AR15 , Trey Lance, and Zach Wilson ring a bell? And they don't have the last name as our Generational Savior in burnt orange..
And you really think Sark gonna warm up another body to replace him? You're outta touch then.. You don't mess with the money no matter how inadequate that player is.. The firestorm of laughter and criticism would destroy his rep

Well he was certainly more accurate.

This feels like we have been here before, when we had a famous family and started his son over a better college QB.

Simms over Applewhite - and once they finally went all major they almost got to the Natty if Mack wouldn't have called for a punt block when he was getting the ball back and Major was on fire.

But that whole year, it was clear Simms wasn't all that great, he looked a lot like Arch....

I used to say, Simms would go to the line snap the ball and look to see who was open, where Major would go to the line look at the defense and KNOW who was going to be open.

Arch looks slow reading, and horrible accuracy.....he can run, so that is why maybe they do the VY treatment take the pressure of the pass off of him with his legs.

I get that, but as a coach do you go down with the ship? I mean if Arch isn't the guy, you need to move on.....or at least start looking, this isn't HS - Sark wants to win, and if Arch isn't that guy and the team sees someone at practice better, he will have to make that move or lose the team.

If the Mannings bail but Arch sucked, no one will care....

Yep the old VY offense is the way, has to be killing Sark.

Manning really didn't face the greatest competition in high school, but we assumed the pedigree of his uncles and grandfather would be there. I guess he runs a bit like Archie Manning did, but, I think Connor Weigman is a better player and prospect at this point.

If you're going with Aggie castoff QBs...Haynes King had a great game today for GaTech

This may be good enough to beat UTEP, but it is not good enough for OU, GA, or FLA.

Even on that TD pass, Arch's feet were still and he stared down Wingo. He doesn't bounce and stay light footed to step into his throws.

Josh Heupel, Okie a-hole he may be, is a heck of an offensive coach

I'm not shocked that Arch isn't the best QB in the country, but I am surprised how much worse he looks than his starts last season.
