Banks is a great LT, Williams will make a very good OG (Williams reminds me a bit of Sam Cosmi) I still think, just because I like the guy, Jake Majors could be a player at C (he may just not be athletic enough, but he's got the technique and the line calls down)
Might have had a pretty good running game if RB1 and RB2 didn't both blow out their legs in spring/summer practice. There's always next year.
We don’t have the personnel for jump balls IMO. Would’ve preferred rolling right like the 2 pt conversion vs ASU. Their best pass rusher pretty much going in untouched didn’t help. The sweep will be talked about for a long time as it should. But we just squandered too many opportunities (missed passes, drops, blitzing at the end of the first half). Refs also missed blatant PI and holding on 3rd downs.
The defense will likely take a step back but hoping for a more balanced offense with Arch and healthier RB room. Ewers caught a lot of flak which I get but the entire offense was put on him most of the season, including last night.
I know but I would rather put the ball in the air than take it sack and fumble. I guess it's possible that Ewers didn't feel Sawyer coming but he that's pocket presence. I completely agree on rolling right and Sawyer going untouched is going to haunt us. I guess that's why this is so frustrating. The game was there to be won and I have no doubt we would have beaten ND. Too many mistakes and obviously the refs didn't help us. Hopefully Arch can get us back there next season
And UT has the money to pay. Plus they already have Arch. Michigan had to pay 12 million to Underwood and buy his family houses to flip him from LSU
There are more important things than sitting at home watching football, such as joining another teams message boards and trolling since October. You definitely use your time productively
"We walk over to the outside rooftop bar, which is all Longhorns. Listen, I’ve been on Wall Street. I’ve been in Beverly Hills. I don’t know whether there were 60 or 70 people. I’ve never been around more money in my entire life. There’s SEC money and then there is Texas money." -- Paul Finebaum, on the 2023 UT @ Bama game
Arch is the draw for next season and we raise wide receivers draft profile. We need a vet wide receiver and a TE. Our backfield should be solid. The secondary should be worse.
