In regards to UT's struggles, Michigan is a good comparison here. Harbaugh is in his 7th year, was 2-4 last year, and had his best years in his first two years in Michigan. His last 4 were probably worse than Herman's 4 at UT. He repeatedly failed against top teams. If Harbaugh had been at UT, he'd likely have been fired before getting over the hump. This is where I think UT keep failing - there's a lack of patience and no coach seems to really get a chance to establish the whole program in their mold.
Pretty sure Herman is still our HC had he won 10 games in 3 of his first 4 seasons like Harbaugh did. Him being a complete a$$ didn’t help his cause either.
We had negative recruiting where we lost Ewers because players hated Herman Sark appears to be a real nice dude
There’s some bright spots in this dark season. I’m hopeful. Worthy was exceptional and should have broke every longhorn wide receiver record ever. That was his recruit. Waiting to see the QB situation change and I’m going to bet it will be drastically different next year. Also the defense played better. We should do the wildcat more often with Roschon and a healthy Bijan
Well it’s gonna have to come via the portal, Sark is getting his butt handed to him by Jimbo as far as impact freshman are concerned. Ya it’d be hard depending on freshman but we could use a lot of the ones that we are losing out on. #1 WR in the nation just a few minutes ago.
Texas routinely has the #1 recruiting class in the B12 - it should be enough to win. What Jimbo Fisher is doing isn't really relevant - Texas can't even get their better recruits to beat the Baylor's or Kansas's of the world.
Still holding out hope but need to see some staff changes. Thought Strong and Herman missed opportunities so hope Sark learns from them. The staff got out coached and now being out recruited, bad combo.
