So we can’t believe practice reports or listen to what Sark is saying himself but rather forum posters’ evaluation and opinions based on 1.5 games of football.
Exactly. It's easy to be good when you run 40+ times for 400+ yards versus the Mighty Rice Owls. Was surprised when Sark made the choice, was surprised at what Card did vs UL, was surprised at what Card did vs Arky (that game was far from his fault, btw). We'll see how they surprise me next.
Sure, when you have no OL and no DL, get destroyed in the trenches all game..... Let's blame it on the Freshman QB.
I was sold on Thompson after the Colorado game, but I understand why Sark picked Card when I watched the ULL game. Card could eventually be a better pro. That being said, you can see why Thompson deserves to be the starter. The guy just moves the chains and puts the ball where players can make plays.
Rice defended Arky better than we did, think about that for a second. Card wasn’t ready, but that honestly shouldn’t have been too big of a surprise. Our RB group mustering 2.5 ypc vs 7+ for Arky was ridiculous. The defensive game plan was one of the worst I have seen in recent memory.
if several things went right, it would have swung the momentum toward us. but they didn't. Sark waited too long to pull Card too.
Right. Easy to put it all on Card but so many things went wrong with the defense, special teams, play calling, coaching decisions, etc…
Yep, figured it out - at the end of the day, football is a GAME and if you are SMARTER than the other coaches, you can gain an advantage.....nice that UT has that guy finally. Although he should have been starting Casey all along..... Hudson should red shirt. DD
