I'm guessing it has to do with the frequent mental errors (e.g. missed assignments/blocks). He shouldn't be making them at this point.
He's proven to be an ineffective rusher all year. His rushing averages are often inflated because he'll get loose for 1 really long gain but then he's just getting 0-3 yards in all the other attempts. Texas finished with 9 yards rushing. That factors in Shane's 23 loss yards in sacks but still. I mean... how? Was Sam healthy? I would have thought you would have put him in given Shane's struggles because you know he gives you a better chance to win with this offensive line. I just...good lord. At least A&M is losing.
4 years in a row? Jezz. That means we are 1-5 against TCU in big 12 play. Good Lord. We had a 24 game win streak against TCU until near the end of the Southwest conference. Oh how the mighty have fallen. That being said, TCU is a really good program. I would rather see them make it to the playoffs than OU but I don't know if they could. I mean, what I hope for doesn't really matter so I hope one of them makes it for the big 12s sake. I think there is a lot of truth to this.
CB Holton Hill suspended for the rest of the season for violating team rules. He’ll very likely be heading to the NFL at the end of the year.
He was working on being a 1st rounder...along with Elliot by far their best 2 DBs. eta: and yeah, you want to go to a bowl, any bowl, just for the extra practice time they give you
What did he do? I'd feel like violating team rules would hurt his draft stock a bit as GMs might feel he's a liability. But it also keeps him from injuring himself in pointless games.
