McCoy is accurate in those short passes and he has quick release. But he can't throw the deep ball. Too many short wobbly throws.

Who is our qb coming in next year?

    Kid from Arizona, right?

Ash and Gilbert have guns, but no awareness, Case has that but no gun...

ut needs a qb in the worst way. mccoy and ash should never see the field for a program with national championship aspirations.

McCoy is clearly the better of the two right now, which isn't saying much at all.

We got Connor Brewer coming in next year, and a year of experience for Case and Ash, but our QB situation is dire at the moment.

We can't even compete for a Big 12 title with this QB play, much less National Title. We appear back on track in most facets, but the QB makes or breaks everything

It is hard to see if Case could have this team in better shape, it is like the Simms and Applewhite deal all over again.

How much would Case have improved with all that playing time wasted on Ash?

Doesn't excuse his noodle arm throws. Somebody besides me please tell me they saw at least 5 bad, wobbly short throws by McCoy this evening. Are we going to completely ignore that and say he's flat out better than Ash?

    Yes

He actually completed passes and threw for a touchdown, certainly not good, but clearly better.

He does make some bad throws, but they are usually the RIGHT decision.....as in the right place to throw it.

    Ash on the other hand....

My friends said the stadium boo-ed the refs the whole game afterwards, even in the second half lol

I think wobbly throws that land somewhere near a receiver are better than strong throws that go nowhere near a receiver, and often to defenders.

Case actually is OK on deeper throws when he has time to set (as evidenced by the near 40-yd completion on the last drive). But he's terrible throwing on the run, which is unfortunately important when your pocket collapses regularly.

They both are bad, but Case is a better decision maker. I'd start him against A&M, as he's at his best when there's run/pass balance.

It was pretty entertaining. We'd cheer for the play (generally stopping K-State) and then resume booing. It lasted the rest of the half and then the first punt in the 2nd half when we received and fair caught. It subsided after that.

Went to the game today and I wonder if the officiating was as bad as it appeared at the game.

I was at the game too. I was booing the refs like it was Tmac's return to Houston.

I was there too. Can't believe that was the last home game of the season. We had a good view of the punt on Godzilla but not the pass that they had that could have been out of bounds. Anyone see the tv replay?

The completed pass could've gone either way, probably not enough to overturn it. The interference call on the muffed punt is one of the worst calls I've seen.

Probably not a good idea to dog a team that whupped you. I'd expect a Rice grad to be smart enough to know you shouldn't cut off your nose to spite your face.
