But even if this person did say "ill play UH", the fact is that probably won't matter seeing UT vs UH probably won't happen in the foreseeable future until 2018 or 2019. So why are we discussing this again haha...
But again, you're mixing up caring about playing UH and being willing or unwilling to play them. I doubt there are many UT fans that care one way or another if they play UH. Those fans that are saying that UT is better than UH aren't unwilling to play UH - they just know that UT isn't playing them and don't care if that changes.
I want to see how consistent the UH program is. Kind of like Boise State. It's not that certain UT fans want to see UT vs UH. If they polled all the UT fans from everywhere, I don't know if that UH would be that high up there in all honesty. The games that garnered huge attention in the past were UT vs Ohio State, UT vs Nebraska, even UT vs UCLA (when they were good). The good thing that I would say would be that it's close and there are tons of UT fans in Houston. It would be easy for the UT alum to go to the game. For me, I'd like to UT vs LSU.
The real issue is that texas is not that good. That looked like a catch despite the bobble. Mac should give 50% of his salary to VY. Before VY, he couldn't win the big game, he would always lose to Kstate or Colorado, and lets not forget his annual beat down to OU. Without VY would he have got his 5 mil a year contract?
This team is hard to watch Had a good first drive in the Missouri game, since then Last 21 Drives Punt Punt Punt Punt Int Punt Punt Punt Missed FG Punt Punt Punt End of Game Punt Int Punt Punt FG Punt Punt End of Half 3 Pts 267 Yards 0.14 Points per Drive 12.7 Yards per Drive Defense has played out of it's mind the last two games to even make them competitive. Astoundingly bad QB play right now.
Also keep in mind that we haven't had Shipley in a while, and didn't have Brown/Burgeron/Fozzy for most of the Missouri game. I never bought into Ash. McCoy had his problems with arm strength and throwing motion, but he's the slightly better of the 2. Ash hasn't shown any improvement through this season to be the long term solution under center.
Texas isn't good, I agree. But I was just complaining as to why they even have a lead. They haven't looked great either.
Texas is good, great defense and a very good running game. But poor QB play can completely submarine everything else. Team won't do anything regardless of talent, until a capable QB is found. We don't need a superstar right now.
Still better than Ash though, doesn't turn the ball over. Need to move McCoy outside the pocket more...
3rd and 4 at midfield and you run it....****ing idiot coaching today. And David Ash is not impressive at all. DD
