it seems like the recruiting days of cory redding, chris simms, vince young, derrick johnson are starting to return. the next season for UT can't be overstated over how important it is. if they have a good year and win some big games. things may get very interesting over the next several years.
although i just looked and there are 11 texas players on the top 100 players for rivals next and 6 are already committed to other schools. that kinda sux
Not a surprise to see Jackson commit to FSU. The only thing that could have stopped his commitment to FSU might have been today's momentum.
The guys to keep an eye on are Jeffrey McCulloch, Stephen Taylor and Jordan Elliott. Any of those players would push UT into the top 10 of signing classes. Both McCulloch and Elliott are considered heavy favorites to UT.
Jordan Elliot is pretty much a lock here unless he flips at the last moment to USC for some odd reason.
OU knocked down to 22 out from the top 10. Texas up to 11. Excellent late push. Brick is doing some kick ass recruiting for the D line!
I've enjoyed watching some of the A&M/UT-Austin back and forth the past few weeks and especially today. Love the intra-state hate To put all this in perspective, back in 2002, UT-Austin brought in SIX five-star rivals players.
I'm just refreshing Texas247. http://texas.247sports.com/Institution/Texas-Longhorns-24028/TimelineEvents
texas.thefootballbrainiacs and Horn Sports are both good, and they're free. 247 is great if you want to pay for it (I personally don't).
I haven't heard many cries of "WRTS" coming out of College Station today. I thought Sumlin was primarily a recruiter.
