PS- We lost today because of injuries to our key players...

You are right, you beat UCLA badly...how silly of me. Course Rice was in the game with you guys until Whittaker scored in the 4th.

I don't know that your "common opponents" advantage is worth talking about.

Honest question; did you watch the UCLA game?

Of course you did, never in the history of the program has UT ever lost to an inferior team due to anything but bad-call penalties or injuries.

UCLA gave us fits? How so? they scored that last TD with barely any time left cause the game was over.

SMU beat TCU if you didn't notice.

If you want to play this game, we beat Rice more handedly then UT did. UT doesn't have a big win either, unless you count Iowa State and Kansas lol.

Give it up, I enjoy both teams, but to downplay the Cougars this year is idiotic especially when your case is UT.

We'll soon see with UH plays Southern Miss who could possibly be in the top 20 when they face each other.

Starting RB out, backup rb out, 3rd string RB out.
    #1 WR out
    #1 LB out

Don't know man, you don't think that would have made a difference? The game was lost 5-17, not 5-50. I'm pretty sure we could have scored more with more offensive weapons. But then again you probably don't have the ability to logically deduce something like that.

Too bad none of your awful quarterbacks were injured, or you might have won.

Well, you somehow managed to "logically deduce" that UCLA gave us fits when we pretty much owned that game for all but the first 5 minutes of the 4th quarter. So, we're not exactly high on your reasoning abilities either.

In this case when you don't have your best running backs and your QB sucks well this is what happens. How good would UH be without Case?

Boise is trailing right now so UH has a chance to make the BCS. You should be happy about that instead of trying to always compare your school with Texas.

Exactly lol, I'm posting in a UT thread; not a UH thread. Sorry for derailing but it's hard when UH bandwagoners get overly zealous about their first good year

    no

i really like UH and root for them no doubt... but the cougars have played NOBODY. as someone else brought up the cougars damn near lost to ucla at home; Texas annihilated them in LA. uh hasn't played a defense 1/5th as talented as Texas' and they sure as hell haven't played an offense with a power running game a 1/10th as good as the one Texas has (when healthy, of course).

could it be a good game? i think so... i just don't see them winning. sorry.

No reason to keep this discussion going since Dodds won't let it happen. Plus the gooftard ascaptjack was just trolling anyway, so the discussion got off on the wrong foot to begin with. No need for that, bros.

My bad, this is my first time in a UT thread this year. Believe me UT Trolls have been well represented in the last 3 or so UH game threads....as well as some UT folks wishing us well.

    All in good fun, mostly.

Are you going to go on record and say that if Keenum goes out in a game and UH loses, it will be because they played a superior team?

the offensive is one dimensional and we were playing with our 4th string running back. i know it was windy but damn, i wish the qb play was better.

a dink and dunk greg davis game plan would have worked on this day.

Don't talk to rookies. it's pretty simple.

Forget Texas, we're not that good this year. I'd like to see UH play Alabama.;)

Texas and UH would be a very good, very entertaining matchup (provided texas has healthy RB's, unlike today).

A decent defense vs. an ultra-dangerous offense, and a mediocre defense vs. a 1-dimensional offense (if healthy) with a powerful 1 dimension and a nearly non-existent other dimension.

Too bad we won't see it this year.
