You definitely shouldn't miss it - it's obviously a subject that causes you vast amount of confusion. Reading one of your "why deez 3rd string OL u no be good? Dam u coach!" solos reminds me of trying to play the clarinet in 5th grade. It just wasn't happening, and I didn't really miss it when it was gone.
I don't know one person, regardless of affiliation, that wouldn't kill for this matchup. A meaningless bowl would never feel so important. Reliant would be a madhouse.
That extra month of practice will prove to be invaluable for the guys that will be on the team next year and the coaching staff. The bowl game gives the team another chance to make their case to the recruits that Texas is where they should come for college. It would have been a HUGE step back for the program if they finished up 5-7 with no bowl game. If Swoopes is going to become anything special at QB, it'll be accelerated by the experience he got this year, the practices leading up to the bowl, and the upcoming Spring practices. If he uses those two practice periods to improve his grasp of the offense and better understand what the coaches want out of the position, we'll be seeing a different Swoopes at the helm in 2015, and we'll look back to this three-game winning streak which clinched a bowl this year as the catalyst for that transformation. Strong needed it, Swoopes needs it, and the fans/alumni can (hopefully) chill out and realize that rebuilding is a process and it looks like we have the leadership in place to guide the program's return to relevancy.
Why are you so persistent? Disagree if you want but stop being a douche. You're only entertaining yourself.
It's the Texas bowl and I have tickets. Would love that one. I go to the Texas Bowl every year and it usually turns out to be one of the best of all bowl games.
Time is a flat circle TCU, don't you forget it <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Cc8ElBhLje4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
http://blog.chron.com/sportsupdate/...e-holiday-treat-for-advocare-v100-texas-bowl/ COLLEGE STATION – Officials from the Advocare V100 Texas Bowl already treat the newly-hatched Big 12 vs. SEC matchup as a magnificent Christmas present, in the showdown two days prior to New Year’s Eve. But there’s one more big gift that might be suddenly sliding down the chimney in December, and one not only benefiting the Texas Bowl but college football fans across the Lone Star State starved for what was once its annual marquee matchup: The solid possibility of Texas vs. Texas A&M, in an ultimate dysfunctional family reunion. The Longhorns (6-5) of the Big 12 earned bowl eligibility with a 28-7 whipping of Oklahoma State on Saturday, while the Aggies (7-4) of the Southeastern Conference fell to Missouri 34-27 around the same time. No matter how the regular season shakes out from here in both conferences, A&M and UT on Dec. 29 in NRG Stadium is an option already. A Texas Bowl official on Sunday said while they’re thrilled about any SEC-Big 12 matchup, a possible A&M-UT reunion had really brought some electricity to the table. A&M and Texas haven’t played since 2011, the Aggies’ last year in the Big 12 and a 27-25 UT victory at Kyle Field.
I heard the game would be in Houston, so my whole family could go to the game, that would be great. By the way, UT is playing the great defense right now, they should get more good players in the recruiting of 2015.
bigtexxx' sources have informed me that the SEC forefathers are working hard to keep this from happening in order to prevent Texas A&M's SEC Texas Division Champions status from being threatened. Developing...
