lol. This is sad at this point. The amount of rumors I've seen all over the internet in the last two hours. One rumor contradicting the other...
My sources are telling me that sources are reporting that sources expect Saban to sign with Texas, while other sources have informed my sources that Saban will stay at Alabama, but I will have to confirm this with a source who has been hearing from their multiple sources.
Barnes might be in the process of buying himself another year. This is probably his best coaching job since his first year at Texas when he took a bunch of misfits and won a Big12 title. They're not going to be great and probably won't even make the NCAA tourney, but this team is far better than expected. Unclear whether that would buy him another year to see if this new style (no selfish players, etc) will work. This nucleus has a lot of the feel of developing like the early 2000's teams. They need to mix in a superstar once this nuclear becomes juniors & seniors and could be a real contender.
Sorry, poor grammar. I think Barnes definitely saves his job: if UT makes the NCAA Tournament, and/or we land Myles Turner. I will be watching UT as they play @North Carolina and home for Michigan State.
Sorry, not trying to derail the thread, but Barnes is gone if we don't make the NCAA Tournament this year. When everyone transferred after last season, he moved to the hot seat.
If you are not on the BOR or your name is not on a building, your "inside scoops" are pretty much worthless. Please stop.
I don't think that's true at all. I think there are certain people in the know. We'll just see, obviously. It's like saying "unless you are Les Alexander or Daryl Morey, you wouldn't have any inside scoop that we were getting Dwight this summer." But clearly some did
Well this complicates things for the people that believe Saban is a done deal and that Chip Brown is trustworthy and accurate. Either Chip's inside sources are wrong or the Saban-is-done inside sources are wrong.
I've heard that with all the extra LHN money, UT was able to successfully test the first workable time machine. Hence, my sources are telling me Vince Lombardi will be announced as the new Longhorn coach once he goes through a short assimilation period to get him used to these new-fangled technologies and what not.
http://espn.go.com/college-football...tension?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Alabama coach Nick Saban has had a contract extension on his desk since Friday, and the longer it goes unsigned, the more uncomfortable Alabama officials grow, sources said.
If we make the torunament? There should never be a circumstance where we don't make the tournament. That isn't an accomplishment. If he doesn't make it to 16 then he's out.
