I can't believe this team is 5-0 in conference. One more game they should win, then s**t get's real. If Mack wins the conference and goes to a BCS bowl, it's hard to justify firing him, even though this is more about a poor conference. Still don't know why they took the red shirt of Swoopes.
No other QB's available would be my guess. Ash seems to be out indefinitely, so if McCoy were to go down, they would had to play Swoopes anyway. I think they want him to get some experience in game also if that opportunity does come for him.
These wins just proves how craptacular Diaz was and how he shouldn't have been hired in the first place. Random blitzes is not a defensive scheme. I can't believe they picked this guy over Jerry Gray.
Does it seem like there's a bit of poll bias against Texas? They've been pretty impressive over the past few weeks.
Our only quality win this season has been against OU. We've looked like crap most every other game. I don't mind it.
The last 2 weeks, they've beaten teams that are a combined 1-10 in conference. I'm not sure it means very much. Texas is ranked 26th. I'm not sure who at the bottom of the top 25 would be obvious candidates for Texas to jump.
Looking at it that way, I agree...though I would list Tech as the most obvious. Lost 2 in a row (one of which was to OU, who Texas stomped) and their best win is TCU.
Aside from OU, the Longhorns have beaten garbage teams, and should have lost the Iowa St. game. The big 12 is terrible right now, I don't think any of them should be top 15. Baylor has played a laughable schedule. The bottom half of the big 12, Buffalo, a Louisiana school that isn't LSU, and the mighty Wofford. They play OU this week so we finally start to get some answers. OSU has played an equally weak schedule. Sadly Texas can win this sorry conference, a fact which I find astonishing.

Any team that is between 18-25 that loses (which they will) will drop out and we will move in with a win. It only matters if we get into that 3 way tie for the conference championship or if we are competing for an at large BCS bid which we won't be. We either get to a bowl with the conference or not at all.
I didn't know Patterson was in play. He would be a great pick also. Knows about all of sports. More of an executive type, but isn't as squeaky clean as Luck.
