I definitely prefer the Cotton Bowl over Cowboys Stadium. The atmosphere would not be the same if it wasn't at the Cotton Bowl on the fairgrounds.
Ya I get that sentiment, but the game atmosphere will be the same, if not better with more people. I'm split. Just came across this picture, didn't even see this happen! Ouch! So those watching at home, how many times did the announcers say "McCoy to Shipley, now we've heard that before." I guess not that many since Ship only had like 3 catches it seemed like, but I KNOW they had to have said it at least once.
First off, I already have bad knees, but if I was concerned about feeling pain after the game, I would watch at home. Second, I didn't insult anyone at the game, let's be clear about that. I let her know that I would sit after the first possession, but she was fat and if she wanted to have a good view of the game, she should have stayed at home, or pay money to sit up front. That being said, at DKR you can get away with it because the screen is so huge...Cotton Bowl, not so much. Sorry, I just find it pathetic when "fans" sit at games. It's the one thing I respect about A&M. They get into the games. Halftime and time outs are for sitting. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it! Major, I don't care if you sit at games. I don't like when people tell ME I need to sit so they can see better. You can sit all you want. Didn't say anything about standing for 3 hours Brando. But sitting until something good happens does nothing to help your team. The crowd factor is definitely what makes rivalries so special. This isn't tennis. It's football. Get into the game for God's sake!
Watching Winston, how the heck did his high school coach call UT 5 times and UT never called back. That is what is wrong with Mack right now, they can't find good QBs DD
It's pretty nuts all the QBs Texas has had in the last 4 years. Connor Wood, Garret Gilbert, Connor Brewer, David Ash and Case McCoy. I don't get how none of them worked out. At this point I would rather see Case Mccoy start. He may not have a strong arm but he minimizes mistakes.
Don't shoot the messenger: Ash done for the year Perry running for president, pressured to back off Powers (OP Note: JAJAJAJA!!!) Saban deal will be 10 years at $8 mil per with escalators for performance. Coordinator budget is $3 mil each. Coordinator budget is $3 mil each Saban hurting for money after Bama BMD got him into bad real estate deals. Muschamp or Briles are the back up plan. Luck to AD, announcement in Nov.
Saban is not coming to Texas. I don't know why everyone persists with these rumors. Also, screw a bunch of Muschamp, and Briles is a great coach but he's almost as old as Mack. Charlie Strong NOW!
If this were accurate, the whole athletic department is dysfunctional. It means that the AD is not picking his own coach - instead, donors or whoever's behind picking the next AD is also picking the new coach. That's ridiculous. They should hire an AD and he should be allowed to conduct a coaching search, starting fresh and building his own organization.
Awesome if true. Don't know anything about that guy but it all makes sense considering I know for a fact that the luck family hates Morgantown
Apparently he is pro big 12 expansion. I don't think there is anyone out there outside of UConn that is a valuable pickup. UCONN is way too far. Would have been amazing to pickup Clemsen and Florida St before the ACC locked everyone in. They were the only 2 teams to vote against that lock up.
IMG is leading the search allegedly. These are football ppl which is better than BMD imho. I'm sure Luck was made aware of this. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/yoy4_h7Pb3M" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Regardless of who's doing it, the AD's job is to hire coaches and negotiate contracts. It's silly to do that without AD's input. And if Luck is giving input, it's silly to for Texas to get that input if he hasn't accepted the job. It's not like we're in a hurry - if the AD is supposed to be on by mid-November, that gives him 1-2 months to find a coach. There's no need to pick one now.
