This is the first Texas game I've watched this season... they've played really well, considering the circumstances. Definitely not what I was expecting. Punishing ground game, stingy defense under a new coordinator, and they're winning the special teams battle against the guru, Snyder.

    What's not to like?

It's not like the doctors didn't clear Ash and he played anyway. Ash took a hit or 2 as well. The second one always comes easier than the first.

Have you seen Swoopes throw a football? You're right, he's going to have to learn.

He can't he the broad side of a barn with a hand grenade.

For what it's worth, he went from a 5-star recruit (top-25 player nationally, regardless of position) prior to his senior year of HS to not even being ranked in the Rivals 250 when it was all said and done.

He apparently has glaring issues with his throwing mechanics. Also, the VY comparisons are off-base. Swoopes is bigger, but not nearly as fast or impulsive.

Edmond getting ejected actually improves our defense.

These are the type of games Mack usually chokes in. Because they require coaching acumen.

Peter Jinkens is a one-man wrecking machine against the option. He looks like a promising young 'backer.

Thank you, Edmond, for getting ejected so Santos could come in, get a clean hit on the QB, and then force and recover a fumble.

I meant the clean hit he got on the QB in the prior play. He went low unlike the idiot Edmond. Thought he forced the fumble but at least he recovered.

Lockett has 237 yards receiving, more than Ash and McCoy combined through the air.

I've never seen Mack Brown look so frazzled. He looks on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

Good win. Well done, Horns. Played tough defense and did enough on offense. Have to keep leaning on Gray. Let him run wild and they'll have a chance.

Shocked I am....torn between wanting them to win and wanting Mack fired.
