I sat in section 102 on the 13th row! ! ! That was the best UT sporting event I have ever attended eeking out James Brown's stellar performance in the game in St. Louis beating Nebraska 37-27 to win the Big 12 Champ. I just cannot say how incredible it was being there, but more than that, I will be in New Orleans Sunday night, and SHOULD UT win on Saturday, we have our tickets for the game Monday in New Orleans (for the record, if they lose, I will still be going, I will just have that "OU just beat us" look on my face ) Go Horns! Hook 'em! I Fully expect to see one with them packing it in on the other players and tempting TJ to shoot. However, should the other guys knock down their shots, I think it will still be a good game. I Love Anthony and I really look forward to seeing that guy for years to come do well, just not this Saturday.
Do not be so bitter, there is a simple explanation, they did not think you guys drank, I mean, high schoolers are not supposed to drink.... Go Cougar High GO ! !
We're gonna win, plain and simple. Major and I were at Omaha. Major and I will be at New Orleans. When we win Monday, Major and I will be buying Sugar Bowl tickets.
Excellent seats man. I was behind the basket about 15 rows up. Unbelievable atmosphere after the game, watching Coach Barnes cut down the net.
The feeling when your team accomplishes something that you root so hard for is just awesome. Can some one on The 40 Acres give us an idea of what if anything is going on with the latest win?
Yes, I desperately wanted to go down to campus and revel with all the young college girls. Please tell me there was some serious celebrating going on last night. (But not the likes of the hopping on shuttle buses like after the football victory over NU)
RM95, If you go and the Horns lose we will forever consider you a jinx. However, if they win, we will insist that you attend all major UT games. DD
Good luck UT, represent Texas, make us proud. TJ, let people know that Houston is the next mecha of hoops. Kind of off topic, hey RM95, did you drop out of your yahoo fantasy league? Your lineup hasn't been and you haven't responded to the message board on the league page. Felt kind of weird for me to email you about this though, so I didn't.
It started with Packer shocked that Texas got a number 1 seed over Kansas, even though it was OU that took KU's spot. Next, Digger Phelps was chomping at the bit with LSU, calling them his darkhorse team and predicting them to upset Texas in the 2nd round. Then, even when Texas made it to the sweet 16, it was UT plus 3 coaches who have been to the final four, and UT, as the underdog even though we had proved ourselves worthy of a #1 seed all year. Most experts expected UConn to win our bracket, and even saturday night, all I heard on ESPN was how cool would it be if MSU upset Texas and it very well could happen, but nothing about Texas being a force, unless they talked for a blip about TJ. Now, people are starting to give us some respect throughout the country, but it took getting to a final four to get it. I'm glad people are picking KU to win it all, because it will make it that much sweeter when Texas cuts down the nets monday night. But all 3 teams left besides UT are really good, so we will have to be at our best to win.
Ummmm, the last time the Horns were in the Final Four was over 50 years ago? What the hell are you talking about? And furthermore, what are you smoking? And why aren't you sharing it with me????
We went to the "Final Four" of the CWS last year. UT v. Stanford and UT v. South Carolina. They won both.
The inexperience of UT fans with basketball success has been known to cause premature posts. J/K, I think he meant tournament games.
Dude, I thought it was just me... That freakin' killed me...I thougth it was my digital cable and went to the other room and it played for a second then went out... I was so PO'd, but I'm glad we're there...Now all we need to do is win...If Texas wins it all, I win my pool...
