I'm a UT alum -- I find it hilarious that the same people get baited in to these petty arguments with BT. This is amusing.
definitely not miami, florida, oklahoma, tennessee, florida state, alabama, auburn, texas tech, washington, smu, colorado, et cetera, et cetera
Its not keeping me up at night. I wouldnt be upset if Monroe got kicked off the team because of this either. Suspend him a couple of games or the rest of the year, doesnt really matter to me. Monroe isnt the first or the last "student-athlete" from any university to make a dumb mistake and he will have to face the legal consequences and whatever Mack Brown and the other coaches decide.
Ok... they break the law... who gives a ****? What are you going to say after they win on January 7th? I could careless about how they address legal situations... the school itself is a great school... there's no denying that... the football/basketball program are near the top.... why isn't that enough? Why do you have to nitpick?
yeah, because football success is totally the criteria we use judge our school. you (not you specifically) do realize that bringing up Rice or these other crime-ridden schools is an L right?
Mack is their football coach. He's not their father as someone pointed out. There is a BIG difference between a DUI and other crime. Drunk driving isn't something that comes with thugs or bad guys. People from all sides of society make that mistake. People drink. Nothing to do with the way Mack recruits. You're right. Bigtrolll knows it pisses us off too. That's in part why he does it.
um, hey-o? but yeah, i was on 6th street last night and passed by a tv showing the aggie game...I was like is that 60-something to 10-something...no way...
I don't root for the Longhorns for any other reason... I'm not a fan of the UT debate team, or the library club. If it isn't football, I really don't care about much else regarding UT.
Bump. Guess what... Aggies get arrested too. http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/Aggies_lineman_arrested_released.html Texas A&M offensive lineman Rhontae Scales was arrested on assault charges at 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning, according to the College Station police Web site. The department’s daily significant activity report stated that Scales, a 6-foot-6, 318-pound freshman from Killeen who is red-shirting this season, was arrested near the Northgate district. He immediately posted $4,000 bond and was released from jail, according to the Brazos County judicial Web site. No other details were available Sunday night, as the police’s records department was closed for the weekend, and the arresting officer was unavailable for comment. Aggies coach Mike Sherman had said following Saturday afternoon’s 38-3 victory over Baylor that he hoped his players would get a good night’s rest because of an upcoming short week. A&M plays host to rival Texas at 7 p.m. Thanksgiving night. An athletics department spokesman couldn’t be reached for comment Sunday night.
DWI charges were dropped against Monroe and he'll likely rejoin the team for the title game. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4756631
WELL ISN'T THAT CONVENIENT!!!!! I'll bet most people who get DWI charges wish they could get it switched down to a charge of "obstruction of a passageway". Let's get DJ on the field in Pasadena.... UT-Austin doesn't care if they bring in thugs and low-lifes, as long as they win football games. Hell their baseball coach is still there even after his own DWI. It's a complete joke.
Texx, They had no evidence other than a failed field sobriety test, which is an opinion of the officer, nothing more. Not much to get a conviction on...this is typical...and another reason that people should NEVER EVER blow. DD
