half.com is your friend. any book for your classes should be way cheaper from there. i know you might be worried about not having the book for the first few days of class but you should be able to return books that you buy from the co-op up until the 12th class day i believe. what you can do is buy all the books you need for class from the co-op, buy them for much cheaper off of half.com and after you get them in the mail, return the books that you bought from the co-op. that's what i do all the time.
The co-op wouldn't buy back my microeconomics book, so there goes $90 down the toilet. Maybe you'll get lucky and get a teacher that doesn't use the books and uses powerpoint slides/their own notes. I know one teacher that I signed up for that does that and haven't looked into the others. When I bought my books form the co-op this past summer session, the receipt said you could only return the books within the first four days. Don't know if that changes in the fall..
