Or if they gobble up the rest of the decent Group of 5 programs, they create a massive gap between the big 12 and AAC/Mountain West. Basically eliminates any chance of the Big 12 losing Power 5 status. Zero interest from Colorado. I drove out to the Nebraska/CU game in Lincoln in 19'. Probably the best college game atmosphere I've ever been too and fans were great. The whole row behind us shook our hands after the game lol.
On the field accolades are all I care about. I’m a spectator and fan. They don’t let me share in the media money.
Well, if you're long on the sport, you know you probably cant rely on Iowa State to carry your conference forever, lulztz.
How exactly would the Big 12 go about losing its autonomy status? For that to happen, it would either have to A) disband or B) get that privilege revoked via majority vote of all NCAA institutions, yes? Scenario A is fairly straightforward and at this point seems unlikely. It seemed very likely a few weeks back that the PAC/B1G/ACC would swoop in and try to pick off a plurality of the remaining Big 12 schools to cause the conference to collapse, but that threat looks to have passed. Scenario B is very messy and would basically require the other 4 autonomous conferences to strong-arm a majority of the rest of the NCAA institutions into voting to repeal the Big 12's autonomy status. Though possible, that seems fraught with problems.
Tech sure needs a prosecutor, there's some serious assault and battery going on at Royal-Memorial Stadium today.
I can move the topic, that's how conversation works. I guess Iowa State's window was shorter than Buck Turgidson SWORE TO ME when I asked if they were really good, back pre-season.
Oh no, you got me, me and the rest of college football. Not sure who's more disappointing, Cyclones or Clemson.
That's interesting. FAU ECU Charlotte UAB Temple USF Navy (Wichita v. MBB) - SMU Tulane Tulsa Rice UNT Memphis UTSA I think I'd probably drop UNT and Rice and move UAB over to the West division but that's just me. Or maybe Navy will want to be in the West with all the small private schools (if so just swap them and Memphis and there you go).
