What exactly qualifies as a douche these days? Is it the ride? Rich? Frat? Hair cut? personality? clothing? There are some obvious ones of course, but it seems like whenever someone doesn't like something, it all of a sudden is douchelike. Maybe im a douche for not knowing what qualifies as a douche? And now I have imploded my brain, or whatever is left of it.
CU is on the douche list probably because everyone in Boulder is always high and I'm not talking about the altitude.
Aw, don't be jealous just because we have one of the most beautiful campus in the nation... Going to places like College Station, Waco, Lubbock, and anywhere in OK make me want to vomit.
Not jealous, it is what it is. Texas and Oklahoma just isn't going to have the scenery that Colorado has. I have been to Boulder in December and it was awesome driving through the mountains. Texans though, we can still wear shorts in December and our swimming pools don't freeze over. Now you're the one who's jealous.
i just think that a thread bashing UT is going to bring out some of the fans of A&M. Gives them a chance to bash UT or TU or whatever. It is kind of a part of the culture in College Station, but this isn't about A&M, and I probably shouldn't have brought it up. But back on topic, can GQ really write this article with any credibility?
It's true. When you say UT, I picture some popped collar douche wearing a hat tilted 45 degrees to the left.
Big Vic, it is part of the culture at ou, tech, as well as A&M,but since we haven't been too great at football recently, most of us choose not to call out other schools that have scoreboard over us. In fact, if A&M alums were to start bashing longhorns on this board, we wouldn't be outnumbered by UT alums, but all the longhorn wannabe's and that just gets annoying. About GQ, I want to know who all actually reads the magazine. I've never ever picked up one of the magazines, so I don't even know what kinds of articles they have in it. Sure, I've seen the cover, but I've never taken the time. As for it being credible, hell no it isn't. Even the brief description mentions "heavily researched" and "possibly stereotyped". They probably had some online poll that had fantastic numbers and these were the top schools that came up. It is all a matter of opinion though. I've seen and met some serious douches at UT, but guess what, I've been around some big time douches from Texas Tech as well, in fact when A&M plays Tech, their whole stadium turns into douches. With that said and after attending and graduating from A&M, I've met and seen a bunch of douches at here as well. I didn't stop to ask what makes them a douche and what I think a douche is may be totally different than what you guys think are douches. It's a stupid poll meant to create hits (just like Richard Justice's blogs) and what great timing, college football begins soon (tonight for some schools).
A lot of people had suv's too. Tahoe's, Yukon's, etc Baylor had a lot of cool people, but I do remember some popped collars and a bunch of polo shirts/khaki shorts with the token pair of sunglasses on. My cousin had some racist comments yelled at him, while walking to class shortly after 9/11 but that happened all over the place. I guess a racist classifies as a douche. I still remember the stares we would get when we walked into a white frat party sometimes...LOL good times
