Just bad. Terrible in the final 1/3. Sloppy in the middle.

These post game pundits are just trying to shine a turd. Under no circumstance is not winning against El Salvador an acceptable result.

Didnt watch but a draw on the road to el salvador doesnt sound too bad.
Win at home and get a couple of results on the road is the name of the game.

Outside of mexico v jamaica, every other game was a draw. Weird night in concacaf land.

    A ****ING MEN !!!!

Ridiculous result terrible on the pitch, sure the pitch was **** the ball was bouncy, but my GOD the creativity was horrible......where was the ball control.

This was like watching a U15 game...it was terrible.

We have to be a LOT LOT better.

I didn't watch the game, but for those that did, would adding Pulisic back into the mix bring an element that could have changed the result last night??

Hard to say definitively but he's one of the few on the current roster with actual Qualifying experience. He wouldn't have shrunk in the light like many on the field did last night. With him in instead of either Aaronson or De La Fuente, there would've likely been more dangerous attacks and probably more free kicks from dangerous areas. El Salvador was already playing physical and they would've spent much of the game hunting him down. His inclusion might've also forced ES to play more cautious allowing for more possession.

TLDR answer is yes, I think it would've made a difference.

A draw on the road in qualifying was not bad, but this draw with canada at home is something else.

I think there is reasons to be optimistic about this crop of players and the future of u.s. soccer, but i think a lot of fans were being a little too bullish about them too soon. qualifying in concacaf is not as easy as it sounds and expecting these players to walk trough qualifying just simply because they play in top clubs is being a little naïve. The usmnt is not going to go from not qualifying to a world cup to juggernaut in just one cycle.

No one is expecting to be a favorite for this WC. But I don’t think it’s too much to ask that we beat El Salvador anywhere any time and take care of a clearly better but still mediocre Canada at home.

I fear this is not a temporary problem. Until this country develops a pure goal scorer, this is going to continue. There’s a bunch of guys who can score goals but there is no goal scorer. We haven’t really had one since Brian McBride. Someone who’s going to finish the tough chances and win headers. Maybe Pefok can be that. Maybe Dike in time. They have the body and the athleticism but they’re needing more experience.

They have to get a result against Honduras. Haven’t scored more than 1 goal since the 6-1 win against that powerhouse Martinique.

I saw this graph on twitter a while back.

Last away win at el salvador was 04 and 09 for a win at honduras. Getting wins on the road has never been easy for anyone in concacaf.

Throw s*** at the wall and see what sticks.

We may never know the real reason. All that matters is that he needs to get his sh*t together before he f**ks up a potentially great career.

Not sure what happened to this team between earlier this summer and now but they are terrible. Can we really be taken apart by simply making the field narrower or by overwatering it?
