I am worried about Klinssman's leadership - I am not sure he knows how to pick a team when it counts. When we are playing friendlies he brings in the young guys and we look great, when we are trying to win, he seems to rely a bit too much on guys like Beckerman. DD
Every time I start to doubt, they go on a win streak. That said, I still find myself scratching my head with roster decisions and tactics (or a lack there of). As much as I've disliked Beckerman, he's been the least of our problems lately. Is there a problem with Geoff Cameron I don't know about? I still say some of the best soccer this team has played was with Cameron in the defensive mid role. Bradley was completely free to roam and create. Cameron is solid defensively and has experience playing in central midfield to be useful. He has apparently fallen out of favor with Kinsmann, though. So many things I would have done different with that roster...starting with using the players that just beat 2 of the top teams in the world just a month prior.
What about Mix? I mean you give the guy the number 10, then you don't play him, why not play Bradley at Holding mid and Mix at AM? My problem with Beckerman is that he just doesn't ever create, he is a safety guy, who moves the ball back and sideways for the most part. Bradley can at least make some deep runs. DD
USA vs Peru about to kick off... VERY interesting that Howard is there and not the starter. And WTF does Mix have to do to get a start? Jones hasn't been with the team all year. With Bradley out, I assumed that Mix would be in the 11.
haha, look at cameron <iframe src="https://streamable.com/e/o4h8" width="560" height="316" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen scrolling="no"></iframe>
U.S. Soccer has got to quit playing at these stadiums where natural grass isn't the typical surface. You can see the problems with the footing all over the pitch.
Nothing about that was Guzan's fault. The cross was mis-hit and out of his reach. The having Hulk have a free shot is never going to end well for any keeper in the world.
He stopped running because he thought the ball was going out of bounds. The smallest mistake he makes always seem to result in a goal for the other team.
Seriously if it is about winning, you play your best players, Guzan is about 85% as good as Howard. DD
Bad half. Altidore needs to be removed. He's had one nice touch but everything else has been garbage. He's had heavy touches or been hiding out away from the play. Should've done much better either the ball Yedlin played into him and, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STIP WITH THE F***ING BACKHEAL. everyone in the damn world knew that pass was coming. Jones is back to being Jones...bad giveaways in bad places. Yedlin is thoroughly confused as to what to do against players that can run with him. At least Klinsmann was smart enough to put Williams in since Bedoya was getting torched all over the field. They need to get the ball to Bradley and move better up front.
Is Johanssen there? I really hate, HATE HATE playing 2 on top, give them 2 options up there. Johanssen and Wood - let's go... DD
I can't wait until JK puts the children out there. They are too young to realize they aren't supposed to win.
