We have a number of contact options in our user profiles, including 4 different IM handles. It would be nice to add gamertags (PS3, XBox Live, and Wii) if it wouldn't be too much trouble adding it. I wouldn't mind running into more Clutch Fans online when I'm on the PS3.
can we make it visible when I click on the user name instead of having to click over to the user's actual profile page to see it?
Wii fails in online gaming, and really is the missing part of that system. You could always put yours in your sig.
Can we have the voice of Gloria Velez welcome you once you enter the forum? Like "Hey papiii, let's get ready to post".
I didn't expect the volume of snark (nicely played but low blow Yoyo). I don't play all that much online gaming, but I hear people asking for other user's gamertags all the time. It just seemed like it's another mode of communication. If we're going to track homepages, email addresses, Yahoo IM, AOL IM, Microsoft IM, and ICQ Number, it would probably be a good idea to add XBox Live and PS3 gamertags as well. There's probably more people that have accounts on one of those two than have IM, or at least more people that would rather be contacted through their console than over IM (cough...cough...bizzle). Not really that big a deal, just a suggestion you know in the Feedback forum.
I do not like this idea. It is another intrusion on my rights as a BBS member and a needless invasion of my privacy. Furthermore, I do not play video games, so what would I put as my gamertag? It unfairly alienates a good percentage of BBS folks who do not participate in this devilish pastime.
I vote we have a area code part in our profile so we know who's in one's gang and whose turf we shouldn't drive through without kevlar.
