Radio... You're so inventive. This was almost funny the first time I heard it. The 1 millionth...not so much. If you're honestly comparing him to a mentally r****ded character, how does it feel to get beat 3 straight years by a mentally r****ded QB?
SC might be the number one team in the country but they are certainly not the classiest. I can't believe they went for it on 4th and 10 with them leading 31 to 6. No class at all. On top of that Ken Norton leading the dancing on the SC sideline halfway through the 3rd. They're going to win this game and it won't be close but you don't go around showing up your opponents like that. Once again SC has lived up to being the University of Spoiled Children.
the same it does as getting beat by all the other ut qbs, chance mock, chris simms etc. they all beat us !!!!
wrong, vince has done it once. he may have been on two teams though. oh well he would have won so we will give him credit too
You forget...only UT can run up the score. When USC does it it's just brilliance. EDIT: How cheap...Leinart is throwing bombs to the end zone up 52-6 with 10 mins left.
If you are so sure of that, i'll bet you 1,000 dollars that Bush will be worth every penny in the NFL barring injury. We can let a neutral bbs member hold the money.
LT has shown us in San Diego that a playmaker is still a playmaker regardless of the talent behind him... feel free to insert Barry Sanders into that argument too. Passing on Reggie bush would be idiotic... players like just don't come around again, ever.
You know, that's who Bush reminds me of. Reggie Bush at USC is what Tomlinson would have been on a great college team instead of an slightly above average TCU team. Remember when people were saying Tomlinson's stats were great but he would never cut it at the NFL level? The only thing he's done is become the best player in the NFL. BobFinn*, I was on your side just a few weeks ago until I heard Lance (on 610) talking about a conversation he had with his Dad, who is an offensive line coach in the NFL. His Dad was saying that the Texans O-line does a great job on run blocking but our RB's were picking the wrong holes and not hitting them like they should in the zone-blocking scheme. He said he's watched extensive film on them this year. He said he's watched film of Bush and that he would make a HUGE difference because of the way he attacks when he sees just a slight hole to run through. Much moreso than DD is doing. Yes, the Texans need help at the OL. But we also need help at RB, WR, TE, DT, DE, LB, SS, FS, and CB. We're not in the position to draft for one position. We need to take the best player available. Period.
I agree with this. You can't pass up a potential franchise player just to shore up some holes. If we draft well and make some good offseason acquisitions, we may never be in this position again. And Bush, with only 3 years of wear and tear on his body (even less considering he's split time with lendale White and USC's balanced offense), could be a difference maker for 10 years. You don't want to give that up for some "solid players" who aren't going to take you to the super bowl.
