arguably the best game ever by a college player in a championship game. who has ever had rose bowl performances like that? ever?
Sorry to interrupt Fatty Fat's embarrassing posts, but I think that Invisibile Fan may have to give up his handle to bigtexxx.
You really didn't just compare system quarterback Symons(who was good, but a notch lower than Kingsbury) to Vince Young did you? Vince is special because he is the best player on the field every game this year, and made ton of big plays both years of starting. If you really can't see what he brings to the table, there is no helping you. I mean, the fact that he is impossible to tackle is lost on you. He led the nation most of the season in passing efficiency as well. He had a 60 plus percent completion percentage this year. He is the college football comeback king, like Elway in the pros. Go watch 4th and 18 vs Kansas last year please. Go watch the Rose Bowl vs Michigan. Go watch him singlehandely try to keep Texas afloat vs OU pre this year(he was the only effective offense we had). Go watch him outgain the Ohio State offense this year(the best D we faced) People say NFL teams will hurt him. Problem with that opinion is he isn't a slight build Michael Vick. He's a 6'5 230 pounder with ankles of steel. Did you really come away from the National Title game with a yawn opinion of Vince? I have to think you are bull****ting here, or either need a brain transplant. What more did he have to do to prove he was the best player in the country, and play QB in the NFL? 100% completions? My gosh, the hype was Bush, the reality was Vince. It was that way all season. Just because ESPN says Reggie is the best ever doesn't mean they are right. Because Vince had the stats in his favor all year. Reggie Bush got outplayed by White on his own team in the game, and White had more TD's this year. I'm sorry, but the Heisman winner was sitting on 4th and 2 to put the game away. He had even carries with White all year. Yet he gets compared to the all time greats at his position when he hasn't proven he can be the man carrying a team's load at his position yet. That's absurd, to be frank. Vince Young is not going to be a backup anything in the NFL, and if you think that I'm glad you aren't scouting for NFL teams anytime soon. Vince Young's talent is undeniable. The difference now from last year is he proved he can read coverages and be a pocket passer to complement his ridiculous physical skills. He is going to be a very successful pro if he stays healthy. Last year...Michigan? I didn't think that he alone would beat SC's offensive trio. Came home thirsty the next day....
it is.....you can look it up. i had a handful of friends in high school who couldn't get into then SWT now texas state, and then decided to go to tech. the rep of tech at least 4,5 years ago was, if you have a HS diploma and a hearbeat, you get into tech.
Oh, it was you. Sorry. DaDakota looked it up in that last thread. Tech is harder to get into. Search yourself. BTW, I went 14 years ago.
looked it up at USNews. both universities have the same "selectivity" ranking. they are ranked in different categories because of Texas State's Masters Program. Texas State is one of the West's Top Masters Universities, top 20 West's Public Masters University, and the top West Masters Public University in the state of Texas.
