30 Bush's recieving yards came on the second to last play of the game when our DB were covering deep.
Fatty- You're telling me that if Tech was playing in one of the biggest games of all time, you wouldn't spend $700 for one of the most memorable moments of your life? Who cares if your around mostly strangers, that's every game you go to.
I went to the Cotton Bowl in 95, and we had a good time. I've seen many a great Tech game. BUT, for $700, I'd rather be with 20 friends watching it.
Um. He said big games. Winning a 7-team tiebreaker isn't exactly the same has playing for the national championship in the Grandaddy of them all.
cracks me up when tech alumni bash ut when the latter is so obviously superior in every way imaginable. can you say penis envy?
I'm not bashing UT this time. There will be plenty of that next year. UT whooped our ass this year. If you went there, kudos. I doubt it, though. No, what I'm saying here is that I don't find Vince to be nearly as special as y'all have made him out to be the past TWO days.
Fatty, if you are urging caution before proclaiming Vince Young to be the next John Elway in the NFL then I agree with you. Dismissing his Rose Bowl performance with a yawn, however, is just silly and makes you look petty. BJ Symons is an inspired choice to base your smack around, though. I'll give you that.
like bmoney said, it's ridiculous to yawn off vy's performance. it was, without argument, one of the greatest performances in college football history. you don't like him, fine, but give the man his due. and yes i am a longhorn alum, why would you doubt it?
Young creamed the SC line. The biggest insult was when he scored on that 2pt conversion. He made it look so easy given the circumstances. A lot of bitter SC fans the day after. Sat in Row 73, tunnel 5.
I've already mentioned that he played a very good game against USC. Probably the best game of his life. I'm talking about all of this newly arisen hype these past couple of days. Personally, I just don't see greatness in him. I think he could be a good QB in the NFL. Time will tell. But this shoo-in as the next coming of Joe Montana or John Elway is homerism at its finest.
speaking of homerism, do you think that if he were wearing a red raider uniform while winning THE FREAKING NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP you might be more impressed?
