Lendale White had a great game, by the way. He's going to be a great pro. And the 4th down call was the right call, even if it failed. USC's offensive line had been mauling the Texasline the last couple drives, and Lendale White was chewing up yards - a chance to finish off the game, trusting to your strength - you should go for it. And don't go too hard on Leinart - watching ESPN, he's getting baited a bit by the reporters - and an athlete after losing a game like that isn't going to have the emotional self-control not to say something he doesn't necessarily mean.
This is probably the best night of my life! The only thing that could beat it would be an Astros World Series win....or maybe marriage and a kid. Nope! Just a 'Stros WSC! HOOK 'EM!!!
So what about the interception Texas had that was ruled an incomplete pass, was that his fault? Were the missed holding calls on USC's Fullback his fault? Were the somewhat questionable spots the refs gave his fault? Fact of the matter is that football is a team game, and nobody, not even Vince Young is above the game. When your team loses, your team lost. Suck it up and accept that. Yes, Texas made the better plays, and he admitted that. Truth is, it was a close game, and when a game's that close and evenly matched, the team that makes the better plays usually wins, and that team is usually dubbed the better team. Leinart needs to suck it up and admit that he lost to a better team. He needs to be less of a coward and not call out his defense on his way out, just because they lost ONE game. Suck it up big guy, the Longhorns came to play, and it looks like they're better than you!
The BEST individual performance by a college football player I have seen in my lifetime. There are no words to fully describe what I saw, it is what it is. Vince Young won the national title, he had help, but without him it wouldn't have happened. Unreal, close to 500 yards of offense, one player, whoa.
Does this have anything to do with INJUSTICE on ABC, or JAKE IN PROGRESS or EMILY'S REASONS WHY NOT Because I am MORE HYPED for that sh-t than I am for football. Who won anyway?

T_J - I'm glad you can appreciate a fellow HISD to UT pipeline product. UT keyed on Reggie Bush and aside from his few big runs, more or less neutralized him as best they could. When it came down to the big 4th and short plays, Lendale White couldn't do it. Vince trusted his teammates and led them to victory. When it came down to it, the team jumped on his shoulders and he carried them. Vince Young is The Truth.

I agree with everything you said, almost. Leinart commented in the heat of the moment so we shouldn't jump on his case for that very brief interview. When you say Leinart is going to be better than Peyton Manning you're going further over the top than the guy criticizing Leinart's comments. Leinert is a great college QB and looks solid for the NFL. But it is very very unlikely Leinart will turn out BETTER than Manning. Precious few NFL QBs have ever had the complete year-round dedication to the game that Manning or Brady have.
