And that may friends is what the second biggest issue is out side of BRI split.

Players like having that safety net of knowing what ever happens after they get the big payday they are set for life.

The reality of knowing that after their guaranteed portion of their contract is payed out they could get cut if they are not living up to what they are getting payed scares the hell out of them.

The don't want to give that up and if I was in there position I would have a very hard time giving it up as well with out a fight.

If their was a easy fix to this I am sure it would have all ready been settled.

Dennis Rodman does speak the truth. That's why we see a decline in the NBA today. All the players care about is money and he's right about that. And to add, Dennis Rodman had a lot of heart when it came to Basketball. He still does. The fact is, that NBA players of course started out for the love of the game, but once that money started coming in they lost their passion. I'm not saying that all players today are like that, but the good majority are. Patrick Patterson is a really great example of a player that just loves the game. No tattoos which is a rarity in today's game, I think P-Pat has the potential to become the next Karl Malone (i know we hate the jazz but he's the only one I can compare him with given his height). One last thing, I'm sick of all of these NBA players trying to become rappers, getting all of these tattoos, and everything. Very few NBA players have their own personality anymore.

So, Dennis cared about the game? I guess he cared about the game when he quit on the Spurs, laid down and took his shoes off in the middle of a playoff game.

And let me get this straight, because the players got what they wanted in 1999 they should give the owners everything they want in 2011? Idiot.

How does he know the majority of teams are losing money? Does he just trust the owners to tell the truth or has he examined the books? Moron.

Never liked him, never will... and he sure doesn't belong in the HoF.

Yeah, Rodman is the man to know how to run your life and handle finances, he has done so well himself...

...on the other hand, he is the man to talk about how to play the game on the court. Just don't take his advice off it in any area of your life.
