Pau and the Spanish coach weren't the only babies. Their guards would drive into the lane, throw up some garbage, and then complain like no other to the refs. That's in addition to their constant Derek Fisher-like flopping. Pau was a beast in the first half though- singlehandedly kept Spain in the game. He did get a lot of ridiculous touch fouls on Odom though. Dwayne Wade played horribly in this game. Sure he had a couple of steals, but he totally clanked wide open jumpers and would constantly drive into the lane trying to finish over people. In international play, especially against a zone, you drive into the lane to create for your teammates.
Quotes from the Spanish Coach: "I had -- and I stress the word 'had' -- a lot of respect for Larry Brown,'' "Let's be honest. The Americans have played to 40 percent of their capacity in two of their games. I think it's very strange to take part in a competition that rewards teams that lose.'' What a baby and sore loser. Now he's complaining about the single-elimination playoff format.
No I'm an ilegal alien living at the North Pole. I don't give a damn about most of the players on the team.
It is not suprising that nobody likes Team USA. They have been king for a long time now. And everybody wants to take the throne. Everybody roots for the underdog. The revolution. whatever. When you first get on top everybody loves you. Not long after, they want to tear you down. Human Nature. And Team USA is getting a good dose of it. But it goes to show you the brilliance of the founding fathers. Tho' term limits may hinder a great leader, they quell that natural revolution and hatred that will always bubble up.
Not sure I understand your statement. Our "Founding Fathers" placed no term limits on the Presidency which is why FDR won 4 elections. FDR's 4 consecutive terms are the reason for term limits, not our Founding Fathers. But without term limits, that spirit of "revolution and hatred" never allowed anyone to be elected more than two consecutive terms prior to FDR.
