Agoos is good for a goal a game for the other team. He doesn't belong at this level. I always favored Pope and Berhalter in the back. Arena stuck with Agoos and it may cost him his job.

Strange things happen at the WC. After being down 2-0 we had to go looking for goals. Didn't look too impressive atticking however. Joe Max Moore and Cobi Jones don't belong at this level either.
If i remember correctly (im only 16) Cobi Jones has been at this level since about the 94' world cup. He had some say in the goal Donovan scored. Having only been in there 20 minutes, he accomplished something that the rest of his teammates couldn't do w/o him. (apparently)
You can thank the Koreans and the fact that Portugal just sucked. I don't really see the US beating Mexico, though.
Well we stumble in and face Mexico which sounds better than Italy... Italy I think got its wake-up call and is more dominating than Mexico - we can play with Mexico -they are a revamped team as V.Reason posted - and much stronger than the team from Mexico City. How come theres a "brotha", a man of African heritage on Polands team?! I've never seen a Polish brotha?!?!?!?!? Don't you actually have to be from that country or does one just go and live in a country for a while and voila, you're a citizen "from" that country. THATS WIC WIC WACK!!!!!
Oily, actually yes the Brotha you mention is one of those cases of favorable imagration laws for good atheletes. In this case the usual 2-3 year naturalization process was shortened to something like 3 months when the big O realized his home country wasnt gonna take him for their national team. as far as the result. holy FFFFFF I just watched the game(I was at work) so i taped it and yelled at anyone who thought about telling me the results. those first 5 mnins were just kookoo. it sould have been 1-1, and polands 2nd goal was clearly a result for the disalowment of Donavans first goal. Donavan really scored twice in nthis one and that is encouraging. so was the play of Beasley. Friedel did well, however still allowed 3 past him. only one really looked saveable. the PK save is another feather in his hat tho. amazing!! STOP PICKING ON AGOOS!!!! the own goal against Portugal was NOT A BAD PLAY, just a bad result. if Agoos didnt accidently hit it in the Port player SURELY would have. in the first 2 goals in this one Agoos was in good position, and even deflected one, the shots were good, and he should not be faulted completely. Now Arena should have seen the mismatch coming and put Beasley in earlier, and will likely change his rotation. CONCERNS Hejuk will wiss the Mexico game. I truely think he IS our defence. Pope will miss him dearly. anyway WOO HOO what ****y good crappy amazing DUMB luck
Hey, we're all on the same side, but . . . you guys are just plain stoned about Donovan. He fouled that guy as clear as day. If the defender under the ball had been American and the forward who shoved him out of the way had been Polish, every American would have howled at that play.
WILL, I say watch it again. I admit that we clearly lost the game. they BEAT us. we played with them, but got feat quite handily. on the foul. Donavan stayed on the ground till after the polish defender left the ground. Donavan used his shoulder to gain position. this is Legal. if he had used his elbow than there is a foul. it was a bad call and would have been no matter the color of the jersey. but I guess like in every sport opinion is opinoin, and thats why they got refs to make decisions that CANT be argued. You know, the funny thing is, I bet that if the Poles had scored their 2nd goal before that Donovan play, the ref would have let the play stand.
