Actually I hate it when ties happen, for those that don't actually watch the game, they can say.."See" and for some who do..they can go..."ugh" They should play until someone scores. DD
I can watch a Tie any day. with all the constant action and suspense while one team builds and the other reacts is amazing. The goals are gravy. Holding a 1 goal lead is really where all the excitement is. besides (for me)its much more entertaining than watching like 6 hours of guys stand in a field untill a guy maybe hits a ball and causes a burst of action on the field only to return to tranquil bliss again. with frequent spitting
That can't be very good to get more people interested in soccer, and bring a franchise to houston. That sucks. Oh well. Atleast we didnt lose. ~~USA~~ Though 0-0....man.
I rather watch soccer than baseball too. They might not score, but I wish there were more shots on goal than five or six. If they averaged like 12,15 shots on goal, I would be happy with that.
the fans at the game made it so amazing. even though Mexico had more fans their i think sams army did a damn good job. and for everyone saying that a nil nil tie is proof soccer is boring wasnt at the game. I was on the edge of my seet the whole time. I hope more games come to houston
Still, I rather watch Francis try to play defense before I would watch a Soccer or Baseball match. Those two sports (they are fun to actually play), but I can't imagine anything more boring in the world.
I'm not a huge fan of soccer. I don't really like it. However, I think its great that this National event was held in Houston. Even though there probably were not that many Americans that cared about this game, the entire nation of Mexico was probably watching. I'm glad that this was held in Houston and I hope more cultural and international events find their way to Houston. That's what a top notch facility like Reliant Stadium does for your city.
What was wrong with that field? It was in sorry shape. No wonder it was zero zero. They would have been better playing in mud.
To think of the 2004 Super Bowl in Houston just blows my mind. This city will be electric. I can't wait until we land a Final Four.
